Friendly reminder that Ravens trips are literally NEVER wrong.
>The Life of Flacco called Carson Wents to the iggles
>TLOF called Eric Weddle to the Ravens
>Old Bay called the Rams trading up
>Old Bay called the Eagles trading up to get Carson Wents
>JFFM called the Rams trading up

Teams in the NFL can only hope the ravens are injured for 2 seasons just so they can have a chance. You niggas are shook.
>you now realize Joe Flacco has had 15 playoff games
>you now realize Joe Flacco almost took his team to the Super Bowl as a rookie
>you now realize Joe Flacco has a 10-5 playoff record entering the 2016 season
>b-but muh passer rating
>m-muh injuries
>m-muh DPI
>l-luck

you niggas couldnt be any more shook, the ravens are coming back stronger and will finish with a 10-6 record. What excuse will you make when Flacco balls out on your sorry ass teams full of sorry ass niggas?

Fuck the mods for warning me for posting this. It's legit

This honestly isnt that bad. Gettleberg knows what he's doing. Remember when Steve Smith was put out on his ass? Remember when DeAngelo Williams was kicked to the curb?

Gettleberg does not play games. Those guys didn't even do anything like try to hold out on a contract and got released for costing too much money. Now you've got this guy in Norman, wants $16 million after 1 good year, holding out and missing training camps (reportedly), and when you franchise tag him he won't even sign that? Even though it was still what, 13M or something like that?

Fuck that guy. Remember they still have Rolando McClain and Cortland Finnegan who if I recall were very solid additions. Plus, Bene Benwikere is a legit #1 cornerback and I think is due for a breakout year himself. They'll be good enough for half the price with that front 7.
>>
Colt Mccoy should be a starting QB in this league, his only shot was in fuckin Cleveland, and as a backup every time he has to come in to play he wins, anyone else fuckin see this?

Lay down on your left side (right ear facing up) and pour a capful of hydrogen peroxide into your ear. Let it sit for about 5 minutes (it'll bubble and feel weird but that's a good thing) then clean it with a towel and some cotton swabs. Repeat for best results.
>>
Eagles fan here.
Obviously I haven't been paying attention to the Goff/Wentz hype because, who cares.
I just sat here deluding myself that the Eagles wouldn't do something stupid, and would actually draft a good player at a position that more desperately needs an upgrade. I was hoping for Zeke or a good O-lineman.

But anyway, can someone give me the skinny on Goff and Wentz? Who's better? What are their styles? Will either ever be a starting quality QB?

Listen to me retard, and listen good.

The Cowboys are winning the Superbowl this year, and you can mark my fucking words on that so make sure you're listening.

The team just acquired, quite literally, the best FA DE that's hit the market since I don't know when because I don't really give a fucking fuck. They bolstered their secondary last season with indisputably the best FS/CB in the fucking draft the past 5 years (That's Byron Jones by the way because I know you wouldn't fucking know who he is because you just started watching football last September you dumb fucking moronic shit). Add to the fact that a corps of young elite studs at offensive line like Travis Frederick, Zack Martin, and Leal Collins or whatever the fuck his first name is, are going to TEAR UP the asshole of the NFC East and the top two run defenses of the NFC (The Xeattle Xehawks and some disgraceful latinos up in Carolina).

Are you fucking listening? Because I'd hope you are. Because I'd hope you are prepared to get fucking SHELLED by the myriad of fucking offensive and defensive POWER HOUSES that this fucking team has. Oh? You don't know any of them? Haha silly me, I forgot that you started learning about football last December. Let me give you the run down real quick, so fucking listen up and pay attention retard.

Sean Lee was IN-FUCKING-DISPUTABLY the best fucking WLB in the NFC, and possibly the League and his ability to absolutely anally fuck your team's shit up in the tough spots where an interception/fumble is needed will take the league by fucking storm. McClain Thornton, Scandrick, The Fucking Mayor of Ding Dong City? Roughly 25 force fumbles combined, mark it down on your scorecard. And just wait for that fucking BBC to absolutely cuck the shit out of your WRs.

Post that fucking dumbshit ass pasta one more time you disgraceful spic, and just fucking watch what happens in the Regular season. Retard, thanks for listening.

>>
after getting sleep the trade sounds even dumber

?
>>
>>66987843
You think any of the garbage fire teams capable of signing him at that cap hit will improve enough through him alone to make the playoffs? I mean lets run down the list:

>49ers - no fucking chance, this team is garbage
>Jags - probably the best "potential" of all the teams that could get him
>Cowboys - Jerry Jones ain't gonna pay a corner who isn't named Deion Sanders that kind of money
>Bears - lol
>Dolphins - lol x3
>Giants - yeah, they have way too many holes they need to fill to worry about grabbing him
>Browns - same as Giants
>Rams - Kroenke spending money, tip top lel

Who else has the cap space to burn on a one season wonder, who benefited from playing with an elite defense?
>>
>>66987910
Bucs.
>>
>>66987924
As a Bucs fan myself, why exactly would you want them to do that? We're building a great young core right now that is improving across the board and you want to hamstring the franchise going forward to sign a CB? Are you mental?
>>
>>66987888
Seriously m8 it's a piece of garbage
Bit it's fitting for Eagles considering they'll never win anything
Did make for funny EDP though
>>
>>66987940
We have plenty of cap space to take the hit and could definitely use the talent. This means if we trade up in the draft we can target bosa exclusively and worry less about whiffing him because norman is good enough for us to not regret not trying for ramsey in the future.
And its not like we dont need more corners. Who knows how banks or adjeih-barimah work out. (Personally I'm optimisticab out both and i think at least one is a lock for the slot position) Verner is apparently a burn. Grimes is good but old. We also have old safeties who cant put the corners in a comfort situation, especially if we dont have a good pass rushing de. This defense shpuld be the focal point of our offseason. We kept our key offensive pieces, and improving the defense is the most important thing if we want to compete in the post season.
The bucs have 15 million in cap space. Thats without dropping players like verner or vjax or other dead weight/old players.

We need a top cb and a de that can consistently pass rush. In the draft, outside of bosa and ramsey, who we would need to trade up to have a chance at acquiring, there aren't really any players who i think can reliably come in and immediately improve our situation (a la kwon alexander).
Fun fact btw:did you know when the bucs picked johnthan banks in the 2nd, tyrann matheiu was still on the board. Just saying.
>>
>>66988030
First off: We still need to actually SIGN our incoming rookie class, so we do not have 15mil in cap space to spend. Secondly: Even if we cut/waive the dead weight, giving a singular player that much of out "potential" cap space is a disaster because it will hamstring us when it comes time to resign our young talent.

The Bucs aren't good enough to mortgage their next 3-4 years to try to win now, which any team who signs Norman is essentially doing. Because he's going to want a multi-year deal, with the base salary for the 1st year being 16mil AT LEAST, and to be honest, I personally don't believe he is worth that kind of money.

This whole scenario was a power play by the Panthers anyway, because they seem 100% certain no contending team is going to pull the trigger on a one year fucking wonder trying to command a 16mil/yr contract like he was fucking on Revis' level. And that is the problem, if he had multiple seasons at his current level go right ahead and pay the man, but he hasn't. And that alone worries the shit out of me, because unlike say Revis, we don't know if he'll maintain that level in another scheme or if he'll be exposed like just about every other CB who got big money in free agency.
>>
>>66987940

I like it, he can help the young guys a lot.

A 4 year on him would probably be good. Just front load the contract.
>>
>>66988030
Matheiu was still on the board because of his GLARING character issues coming into the draft. He was an early 2nd round talent at WORST and fell because teams figured he'd keeping being an idiot like he was at LSU. Lucky for the Cardinals he grew up and is realizing his potential.

>>66988183
Yeah, hamstringing the franchise capwise for years going forward for a one year wonder to mentor our young players? Are you insane? HE WANTS MORE MONEY THEN REVIS GETS. AFTER ONE GOOD YEAR. THAT HAS RED FLAG WRITTEN ALL OVER IT.

Anyone else going to games this year?
>>
>>66987843
>>66987924
Whichever team signs Norman is going to have to give him a long term contract with the obligatory ton of guaranteed money.

The Bucs barely have enough money to sign him as is, and that's before considering who they'll draft and any late FA acquisitions they might make.

For all these reasons and more, bringing Norman on this team is an absolutely retarded decision that only a deluded tranny w/o understanding of consequence such as yourself could think is good.

Fucking kill yourself.

this

he has a shit-tier agent that thinks he can get 16,000,0000 a year. top kek

the panthers offered him 11,000,000 a year and he declined and asked for a trade.
there was no one interested in trading for him so he announced he was gonna miss all the training camps (at least).

the pants have been burned every goddamn time they used the tag. (see sauerbraun, hardy, peppers, etc). so gettleman said fuck it and released.
because you know that would be the only thing talked about during otas and training camp and the coaches didn't want a distraction.
plus the panthers now have 14,000,000 more in cap space.

i likejosh and hope he gets paid but damn, he's about to find out how much the front 7 of the panthers actrually helped him.

Whether or not you like Dunlap, there's no reason to bench him after they put so much money into him.

Ramsey is the pick. Center is more important than LT.

EDP was the best part

The more i think about it, the more I realize its a dumb trade but has small benefits. Eagles trade off Bradford, eventually, for most likely future picks. Next year (though missing a first round pick) the Eagles will most likely have a few picks for the later rounds. They at least have an early 4th rounder from the Browns in addition to the base 2-7 round picks they have plus whatever they get from Bradford. Next year, the Eagles will draft for depth. The year after will just be like this year, missing a 2nd round pick. It just sucks knowing if the Eagles bomb hard this season, the Browns are most likely gonna wind up with two top 5 (possibly #1 & #2) picks in the first round, which theyre gonna waste as usual.

Also, reports came out that the WR drops and shit routes had to do with the fact that Chip emphasized the speed at which they played at and didn't focus at all on improving technique.

As opposed to the scenario where Bradford becomes "the guy", right? Because the odds of a Bradford-led team taking a team to the promised land are about the same as a Fitzpatrick-led team or a Cutler-led team. If Pederson feels like Wentz is the guy, and if all those experts that say he's a Luck-tier talent are right, then this was the right move to make.

>>66990134
They already said at the press conference yesterday that no matter what, Bradford would be the starter this year. Wentz is being treated like a prospect, which is the only way to go about doing this sort of thing. Bradford is just scared.

Good point. Makes a lot of sense in regards to how tereibly the WRs did. Huff and Agholor never improved and Matthews regressed. Bradford would probably play better in Pedersons system but Lurie and Pederson are clearly just trying to rebuild what Chip destroyed and start over with a new QB

Huff and Bradford both are what they are at this point: mediocre-to-average players.

Matthews was playing through a hand injury throughout a lot of the season, but again, the scheme he was playing in didn't help. Out of all the guys on this team who had problems, he's the one that i'll likely defend the most.

Agholor had a shit year, but i'd like to see how much he can improve in a pro-style offense with actual coaching. If he pans out, I see him as a Ted Ginn type of player. It might take him a few years to put it all together, but if/when he can, he'll be a gamebreaker. At the same time, there's a very good chance that he's a total bust. Honestly, this guy is a huge question mark right now. I wouldn't have drafted a WR high this year even if they had a 2nd rounder or kept that other 3rd. I'd just let guys like him continue to develop for now.

>>66990237

Is he another piece of our roster? Absolutely. In terms of bringing Robert to Cleveland, we're excited about the potential for him to earn that starting job, but I think on its merits of (No. 2) versus what we were able to acquire, this was the right choice for building our roster and where we sit now."

>judging a player by a team stat

Nope you NEET cuck, you're doing it wrong. The Browns were also shit in pass protection and sacks allowed but that doesn't mean Joe Thomas is a bad lineman as the sacks didn't go through him.

Like I said, Shelton had both good and bad games. In the good games the runners didn't run through him but through those 5 techs and OLBs who can't contain a run to save their life. The bad games were a result of him getting sloppy with technique and getting stood up at the line, which in this case is a coaching problem.
>>
>>66990517
Literally had one luck prediction that a shit team would make a bad move, not exactly earth shaking

I disagree with you. Eagles have ton of holes that won't get filled. We got a coach who never called a play. 5 wins tops and it he worse for the 2017 season

>Cowboys are gonna be much better with Romo.
It doesn't matter who their QB is. I'm not worried about Romo in the slightest, i AM worried if they draft Zeke though.

>Giants and redskins are better teams.
Giants and Eagles about about even, i'm not too worried about them. Redskins, and i can't believe i'm saying this, yeah, they are better right now. That team is looking like they're gonna get better each year under Gruden.

They won't go winless in the division, probably 2-4. 1 win against the gnats and sadboys each. at worst, 1-5.

>>66990608

kek these scout reviews are great

on Jared goff
>"I just don't see him having that winner quality about him," a third scout said. "His arm isn't great. They do a lot of that dink and dunk offense, a lot of that false production. He gets rattled by pressure. Everything has kind of got to be under control for him. He couldn't win there and you want him to be the face of your franchise?"

on connor cook
>"Let's put it this way: he's not Kirk Cousins," another scout said. "The person kills him. Selfish. He goes out too much. It's a tell-tale sign when your teammates don't like you, and I know they don't. He's good, but that position is more than physical attributes. It's also leadership. Is he going to lead your guys? I don't think so. "He stinks," a third scout said. "Wildly inaccurate (57.5% career). Average arm, average mobility, average field vision. Not a leader. Not aware. Someone will take him in the second, third or fourth round and he's going to disappoint. The owner needs to fire the GM right after they pick him if someone takes him in the first. But when the Buffalo Bills took EJ Manuel in the first, all bets are off."

on Carale Jones

>"Kind of reminds me of a poor man's JaMarcus Russell," said another scout. "At least JaMarcus had some touch. This guy just throws the ball. His mechanics are all over the place." Added a third scout: "Strong arm. Big, big body. Not the brightest cookie in the world. I worry about him when he gets money in his pocket. I just don't know if it's all there mentally." Wonderlic of 25.

Prototypical," one scout said. "I see everything. Arm strength. Accuracy. Toughness. Athletic ability. Smart. Great kid." "He's a genius, Wentz is," said another scout with knowledge of Wentz's 40 on the Wonderlic. "He could be really good. He's the best runner, he's the best athlete. He is off the charts." Fifth-year senior from Bismarck, N.D., who didn't start a game until his fourth year. Finished with passer rating of 105.3. "He gets away with things in that league (Missouri Valley) that he wouldn't get away with in the SEC," a third scout said. "He tries to throw in tight windows. Even in the (FCS) title game he threw two picks. The guy he reminds me of is (Blake) Bortles. Everybody was so excited about Bortles because of the height and the athletic ability, and this guy has the same thing. At least Bortles played against big-time competition. At this point I just don't see where he's that accurate of a passer." Compared by that same scout to Ben Roethlisberger. "He's big, athletic and has a freaking cannon," a fourth scout said. "Level of competition is the only thing. I'd sit him for a year and a half, two years. Then I got a real starter. He'll be shoved into the fire too quickly and it may crush him."
>>
>>66990924
>I just don't see him having that winner quality about him

One guy who coaches and does scouting reports for a Chargers blog wrote this about Wentz:

>This is incredible. In a QB driven league the thirst for franchise QBs are at an all-time high. Without boring you with cliches people throw out about the position just know that taking a QB in the top 10 who comes from a run dominant offense where they ask the QB to make 1 read throws and said QB can't execute that offense at a high level, I'd have questions. Then factor in he stares down targets and makes up his mind where he wants to go before the snap and that initial read isn't open, look out. Based on where he'll be drafted, his rookie year just spells disaster. He'll have a good throw here and there but he's not on the same level as a QB that deserves to go here, but here we are.

David Bowie (69, January 10th)
David Margulies (78, January 11th)
Alan Rickman (69, January 13th)
Glenn Frey [Eagles] (67, January 18th)
Concepcion Picciotto [White House protestor for 30 years] (80, January 25th)
Dave Mirra (41, February 4th)
Maurice White [Earth, Wind and Fire] (74, February 4th)
Antonin Scalia (79, February 13th)
Harper Lee (89, February 19th)
Umberto Eco (84, February 19th)
Nancy Reagan (94, March 6th)
George Martin (90, March 9th)
Keith Emerson [Emerson, Lake & Palmer] (71, March 12th)
Phife Dawg [A Tribe Called Quest] (45, March 22nd)
Rob Ford [former Toronto mayor and always-entertaining coke fiend] (46, March 22nd)
Joe Gargiola [former MLB player and beloved announcer/play-by-play man] (90, March 23rd)
Johan Cruyff [football/soccer legend and 3x Ballon d'Or winner] (68, March 24th)
Garry Shandling (66, March 24th)
Prince (57)

my personal picks were Ozzy Osbourne and Don Rickles, with Oprah being my gay pick.

3rd round is still pretty high. You're expected to get a starter at that point.

He could never grasp the playbook, was never running good routes, was never on the same page as with Cutler, had stone cold hands (look at his famous returns, he muffed half of them)

I watched that and it dumbfounded me how anyone could find it racist.

There are plenty of dumb bricks in college/NFL who wouldn't do well with a lot of money thrown at them.

Cardale is probably one of them.

Slaves were sold in America too don't forget, and those people not only had slaves but they were raped, tortured, separated from their families, some of the worst things imaginable.

It's the same with the Jews and the holocaust. Theres a certain sensitivity when it comes to history, that's all I'm saying.

Honestly football is such a team dependent game it's hard to have any kind of science
It's all eye test pretty much, how a player plays against what competition and whatnot
But it's also very important to know what support system the NFL team a player is going to will have
Any qb going to Jeff Fisher will struggle to progress from year 2 onward where the real coaching comes in instead of just getting used to the speed of the game because Fisher can't developer qbs for shit
So it's a lot about fit, system and scheme, as well as athletic ability and it doesn't hurt the college player to be smart and have a good attitude

I'm honestly hoping my team takes a late round flyer on him. Odds are both Goff and Wentz will be gone in the first round, that leaves Cook, Lynch, and Hackenberg for the 2nd round.

Who the fuck do the 49ers take? None of them are worth a first round, I have never liked Lynch and Cook has bad news written all over him what with repeating examples of him acting like a cunt and not being team captain like QBs traditionally are. That leaves Hackenberg.

GOFF WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OURS

Seriously, fuck the Iggles. We take their shitty coach and now we get cuck'd from Goff. I guess Cleveland probably would have taken him if the trade didn't happen, that is of course assuming the Rams don't trade him.

Man, fuck the Rams, too. I really thought we might get lucky and Goff would fall to us. I guess Hackenberg doesn't look bad, but fuck man.

Goff is dogshit and you're stupid.
>>
As a panthers fan I can't wait to see Norman go to some dogshit team and fade into irrelevance, in the words of Patrick Peterson "know what you're worth" he's not Revis, anyone that would pay 16 million for him is insane. I don't think he would even be worth 11 million, he was on an amazing defense with a weak corner on the opposite side of the field, he's too slow and when he got challenged by a fast receiver he got burnt, no doubt he's good, but he's far from a shutdown, and I don't see him being elite again unless he gets put on a great defense. Gettleman knows what's up, bene was great last season and McClain looked good, I don't know how the SB loss is gonna affect the Panthers but they should be a shoe in for the playoffs. Also the Cowboys blow fat dick
