I'm super fucking bored in this lecture, so I'm gonna actually take the weak bait because it'll be entertaining.
>something something Baltipoor fans
>something something rioting so much the Orioles game was unavailable to the public
>something something Cleveland fans got a game forfeited
>something something Atlanta Braves fans had a 30 minute delay because of the shit they pulled
>something something Florida Panthers "fans" and Minnesota Wild fans did the same exact thing this same hockey season.
>implying vast minority of a fanbase is representative of the entire fan base
>implying people don't lash out in times of mourning and we weren't mourning our beloved team founder/owner and our season (which fucking died that game)
>implying this (or worse) wouldn't happen anywhere else
>implying we aren't the "worst fans" because we're top rivals of New York & New York media teams in literally every sport
>implying on a long enough timeline, every fan base doesn't look like shit and our fan base is one of the oldest in sports.
>implying fans who are more invested in their teams don't experience more extreme lows and more extreme highs.

99% of fan outrages for any team or sport are because of bullshit refereeing/disagreements in refereeing decisions. This was one of them. I'd rather have people over react then not give a fuck.
>>
>>66949170
That happens with rebuilding teams. I read somewhere their new GM has replaced over half of the whole team since he took over 2 years ago.
And when you are doing mass movements of players like that, you are looking to get young so a lot of those players arent going to pan out anyways.

Get a Payton jersey
>>
>>66949124
He's full of shit and just likes making money from attention. This contradicts his first 4 rounds A grade Mock Draft, which had Elliot retardedly falling into the second round.

>>66949189
The fucking Santa game was in the middle f the 60's. Booing Deon Sanders while he was doing his powwow dance around Michael Irvin which led to more boos was much more recent.

On the topic of Michael Irvin, he himself said he would have booed if he was in the situation.

When teams talk about potential trading, do they actually disclose to the other team who they are trying to trade up for?

Also, wouldnt that be really tightly sealed in the front offices to not leak out?

I would think leaking a potential draft pick for another team would be burning bridges in trades.

>>66949299
worth a 7th round pick IMO. Wasn't asked to do much but I do think he made many NFL quality throws throughout the season and he has shown he is determined enough to put in the work to get a roster spot. His size and arm strength are great. Can make plays with his feet too. Only knock on him is that he doesn't come across as too high on the football IQ radar and he had a tendency to hold the ball too long and get sacked as well as throw away into coverage.
>>
>>66949468
>not an away game

Where was it then?

They are wearing their home jerseys, there's the Baltimore decals along the stands, and the Ravens logo on midfield and the endzone. The stands are full of purple.

It was loud, but not unheard of for a home game. Was that a dome? I didn't think they had a dome

Is there any chance the Titans and Browns (with a 2nd tradedown) actually use their picks for decent role players that will have a future with the team?

>"So many people only have one image of Jonathan but, believe it or not, he takes all this very seriously,” Manziel’s spokesperson told USA Today. “He’s hoping that he can clear up his personal issues, start interviewing agents and see what he needs to do if he wants to play this year."

I'm pretty new to the NFL, I've been an MLBfag my whole life.

Am I wrong for thinking this year's QB list is pretty underwhelming? I don't really see anything in Goff or Wentz, which are the projected top of the line QBs this year. The only one I like is Hackenberg and Cook, and Cook I'm not so much on anymore since I figured out he wasn't team captain and there are more than one instances of him acting like a self centered douche.
>>
>>66953056
Sure they are underwhelming, but they tend to be underwhelming every year.We never know who is going to explode into a formidable QB.

Everyone who looks sees the flaws in the QBs, yet media pundits push them hard to hype the draft.

Even when there are big name QBs who do look to be immediate stars like Andrew Luck, he has had his own fair share of problems to deal with and hasnt broken out as great yet. Look what happened to RG3.

When there are QB needy teams, the top ranked QBs in the draft get hyped like crazy.

It irks me how much the media has played a part in Manziel's downfall. I'm not saying he hasn't done stupid shit (he's done plenty), but if he's seen anywhere that isn't rehab or a training facility, the assumption is that he's getting into trouble and every sportscaster has to analyze what this means for his future in football.

Seen at a friend's house? They're probably all smoking crack and setting the neighbor's cat on fire.

Seen at a Buffalo Wild Wings? He probably just finished doing body shots before raping one of the waitresses in a bathroom.

Seen at his home? He probably just ordered LSD off the internet and will end up fighting a police officer because he thinks he's come to take Manziel back to the 6th dimension where he'll stay imprisoned forever.

Can usually be attributed to a shitty front office
>revolving door of coaches and QBs
>bad scouting/drafting
>terribly overblown player contracts

sometimes its just a difficult division
>>
>>66958692
Nobody can guarantee players in the draft will be good.

For instance, Raiders with Jamarcus Russlel in 2007. Picked first overall, ended up being a gigantic bust.

Apart from that, coaching. Even great players don't do well under shit coaching.
>>
>>66958683
>Bengals/Vikes
No and No.
Bengals keep with the sort of drafting they've been doing these passed few years.
Vikings managed to pick up a really good piece for their defense though.
>>66958715
Similar yardage, lower average.
OROTY - Goff (despite not deserving it)
DROTY - Darron Lee with seven sacks and surprisingly a few forced fumbles.
>>
>>66958692
draft order doesn't make that big a difference, especially past the first round.
>>
>>66958764
>The Oakland Raiders had a chance to draft

>Calvin Johnson
>Adrian Peterson
>Darrelle Revis
>Joe Thomas
>Marshawn Lynch
>Greg Olsen
>>
>>66958692
Bad coaching/bad front office is hard to overcome with the best talent. You could give the Browns Aaron Rodgers, JJ Watt, and Antonio Brown, but they would still be shit.
>>
>>66958692
Shit teams usually have shit front offices, this tends to have them be bad teams for years until the owner makes a change. For some teams they just go from one bad front office to another so they don't improve or they improve just enough to not be at the bottom but not good enough to be at the top of the division.

my thoughts exactly

who do you prefer for #3 overall?
I like Ramsey, only to complete our secondary and then head for D-line later.

I'm just not too sold on buckner, seems like another kendall reyes, has all the physicals, but I question whether that can translate to being productive
>>
Who usually has the most accurate mock draft?
>>
>>66958942
Ramsey, all the way.

Buckner would be my fall-back pick if he's gone -- and I'm still not sold on him, but he seems the best of what'd be there at that spot.
>>
>>66958594
Indisputably the GOAT

>>
>>66958932

yeah, kendricks babby. it's all >muh athleticism and >muh potential. him getting injured and leaving UCLA early helped him, less sample space for the draft "experts" to judge him on

>>66961395
they don't need new starters at tackle or inside linebacker. definitely depth, but you don't fucking draft depth at #3
>>
>>66959907
Wentz played against teams that would have trouble beating some high school teams and parties more than Manziel does anybody drafting him is an idiot

>le FCS is high school level meme

You're legitimately retarded. Of course it's not like those teams have FBS P5 level of talent, but Jacksonville State has almost beaten Auburn if it wasn't for refball. Auburn was ranked in the top 15 at that point of the season. Portland State has also beaten Wazzu.

Also, Flacco too played in the FCS and nobody seems to give a fuck now.
>>
>>66960120
NDSU is also a party school that revolves around football. Wentz will probably end up like Manziel. The football players are untouchable and they know it and take advantage of it. NDSU fans don't help either though, nothing like going to a party and seeing 1/2 the Bison football team passing around and gangbanging a blacked out drunk 14 year old while her dad stands outside the room getting autographs.

How will teddy do this year and will he ever be a competent QB?

Game manager status
If he can work on his arm andget more time in the pocket to actually get the confidence to throw (read: get better OL) then he could improve. His WRs are still not at the point that he can put in their hands and theyll do something with it so his stats are not great. Doesnt help hes in one of the hardest divisions in the league. Maybe in like 3 years, after some good drafts/signings andAD is on his way out (a natural trnasition into a passing offense, losing a workhorse RB), he might be able to do something

Until then

Sadly he just isn't gonna get any better. He's regressed and any accomodations and fixes applied to him aren't going to fix what's broken. Which would be his inability to read a field or throw a ball.
He's the best quarterback in the league at Madden for sure. So you got that.

I still expect Cincinnati to be the most complete team in the North, honestly. Pittsburgh could top them (Easily, in fact) but as it stands at this exact moment, I've got the Bengals on top of that division. Atlanta is an iffy pick but they're a team with the right talent and coaching staff to put a good run together, so missing the playoffs would be a hell of a failure for them. Between them and Seattle seems like a coin flip at 5/6.

Literally Flacco and Ben
He's gonna be in the HOF
Goff is Matt Ryan the 2nd though.
>>
>>66966668
Agree with all but the injury history part. I don't think Flacco and Roethlisberger had injury histories in college, and Flacco doesn't have an injury history in the nfl
>>
>>66966693
I meant he will, my bad. I thought Flacco had some minor leg issues early in his career? Probably wrong but you get my point. He is the AFCN QB personified

I agree. Can't see some pussy ass boy from California surviving in the AFCN, defenses and the weather are too much for him to handle

Margus Hunt, he's Estonian or some shit. Bengals fell for the meme and spend a second round pick on him and he hasn't done shit.

According to Tony Rizzo, ESPN Cleveland radio host, if the Rams want Goff before the draft, the Cowboys will inquire about trading up to get Wentz.

This draft is crazy.

also
can anyone tell me why there is such a hype train around wentz?
if i was the rams i would purely go for the better passer which is Goff who is accurate af
he can easily be a great qb in the nfl with a supportive team around him, even win playoff games, i like him better than winston and kind of similar to mariota
>>
>>66967408
They get Clevelands second round pick (33) and their first round pick (2). The Eagles give up cocks and their first round pick (8).
>>
>>66967503
koks stays
unless cleveland also wants to give up their 2017 1st overall in addition to those other two
>>
>>66966637

I wouldn't say Brees has noticeably quicker reads or better accuracy than Rodgers.

I could see the Browns actualy doing this desu.
>>
>>66967546
He does.
>>
>>66967524
Why would Cleveland want to give up the 2 and 33 picks to move back to the 6 spots. The only way they agree to it is if they get a superstar and the only one the giggles have is cox.
>>
>>66967546
Cal's offensive line is dog shit. Wentz literally played for the best team in that division.
>>
>>66967503

Probably he's versatile as fuck Senpai. He want too much dough though.
>>
>>66967625
We have cap space.
>>
>>66967581
>he does
Eh, not really. And defenses don't really fear that more than scrambling. Rodger's is the most annoying because he has the best snap count in the league, can scramble very well, and can place the ball anywhere on the field consistantly. No one worries about Bree's breaking contain or his snap count nearly as much
>>
>>66967678
Brees is quite possibly the most accurate passer ever.
>>
>>66967678
*Brees
>>
>>66967701
Yes. But the difference between him and Rodgers is mostly negligent in that respect while the difference between Rodgers and Brees for scrambling is huge
>>
>>66967658
But isn't your gm known for not giving blockbuster deals?
>>
>>66967750
We don't even have a GM, that's the thing.
>>
>>66967603
>me stuggling to find the clip from this year that he was lined up as a linebacker for shits and giggles
holy shit i know it exists i want to make the webm of it
i believe he made tackle for loss on it too
>>
>>66967747
Rodgers also has more arm strength as well
>>
We're all in agreement that Brees is a little more accurate but worse because he's old right?
>>
>>66967772
>giggles
>>
>>66967826
If you had me choose between 2015 Rodgers and 2015 Brees to be on >my team next year, I'd choose 2015 Brees.
>>
>>66967826
I'd say so, yeah. Also he doesn't have as much talent as Rodgers around him.
>>
>>66967747
It's not even about how Brees scrambles, his pocket movement is just way more advanced than any other QB I've ever seen. He knows how to watch the defenders, and can make subtle adjustments to help his line reacquire their block all while keeping his eyes downfield and working through his reads.
>>
>>66967860
Agreed desu. He was better than Rodgers last year.
>>
>>66967826
no but i think we can agree that toxins fans no nothing about good QBs because they've never seen one
>>
>>66967860
Brees seems more consistent to me. Rodgers tends to have small stretches of indecisiveness at times.
>>
>>66967896
Indeed. I've got Brees pocket movement videos in my QB porn folder.
>>
>>66967804
Mybe today, but Brees is a top 3 all time deep passer. Rodgers is top 3 as well so the difference there is negligible as well

>>66967826
Yes, Brees is slightly more accurate but overall not as good as Rodgers
>>

Maybe. There are a ton of posters on /sp/ who never see any games outside of their team and rely on ESPN highlights to form opinions. (See: any trip fag post ever)
>>
>>66967860
2015 Rodgers was stellar. He had some bad throws because his receivers couldn't get open and the D could contain every play. Even with his Oline, WRs, and RB having a down year he forcably won games using his snapcount to break off free plays. Yes, he had a couple bad games but I'd say it was an extention of the teams overall play and not him in the end
