I reckon there's a serious problem with the psychology department at the club (if we even have one that is).

The fact that we've completely blown our title chances in the matter of about 2 months is embarrassing.

The squad clearly has some mental issues.

It's definitely a very very good side.

The fact that we've fucked up the title challenge this season is more down to mental/psychological factors than it is down to the fact that the players aren't good enough. The players are definitely good enough.

The boss is just shit and so is the psychology team.
>>
>>66949518
>>66949518
>>66949452
We beat the meme team twice and drew Spurs twice. This squad has quality, but just hasn't lived up to expectations.
>>
>>66949497
>Individually they definitely don't.

Lloris = Cech
Walker > Bellerin
Alderw > Kosc
Verton > Mert/Gabriel
Rose > Monreal
Dier = Coq (when Coq plays alongside Cazorla, otherwise Dier is better)
Dembele > Elneny
Lamela = Sanchez atm
Ozil > Alli but Alli is playing better
Eriksen > Iwobi
Kane >>>>>>>> Welbz

And the cohesion comes after that which makes them even better. Then the added bonus of having a great manager and decent depth. It hurts desu

>>66949566
This exactly.

The people in here are trying to mask their sorrows by just saying the team isn't good enough, but there's a much bigger problem at Arsenal right now.

This team is not mentally prepared for a title challenge in any way shape or form.

The shit psychology team is evident so often. One bad match and our players' form will drop for significant periods of time (see Ozil, Ox, Alexis, Theo, Giroud, Gabriel, Mert, Chesney, Ospina, etc etc etc etc etc etc).

There's an issue with the team from a mental perspective.

Also the manager's shit.

But this squad is perfectly capable of winning a Premier League title. There are big issues at hand though that will likely stop us from winning that title anytime soon unless big changes are made.

This season hasn't been a case of "we were shit and never good enough anyway". This season has been a case of "we could have and should have won the title but we blew it embarrassingly".

A team with Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez, Petr Cech, and a striker who's scored 20+ goals this season should at least be heavily challenging for the whole season, and we dropped out of the title race in January.

>>66950548
The league has been set out with the following criteria:

In total, 24 clubs compete in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League, with each of the clubs having applied for 'Category One' status in the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP). There are 17 clubs from the Barclays Premier League and seven clubs from the Championship.
Since the 2014/15 campaign, the 24 clubs have been split into two divisions.
Clubs will play each other in their division twice, home and away.
In Division 1, the team who finish top at the end of the season are champions. There is no play-off. The teams who finish 11th and 12th in Division 1 are relegated.
The Division 2 champions go up automatically and teams positioned two to five compete in a promotion play-off. In the play-off, the team second will host the team who finished fifth and third will be at home to fourth. The ties will be allocated on a single-match basis with two winners competing in a play-off final, hosted at the main stadium of the club who finished the season higher in the division.
There is no relegation from Division 2.

Arsène Wenger has revealed the latest team updates ahead of Thursday's game against West Bromwich Albion:
on the latest team news…
Everybody is available from our last game against Crystal Palace. We have no big injuries. We will have a final test today. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is the only one not practising now.
on Santi Cazorla…
He has joined normal training and he looks okay, of course still a bit short on the competitiveness front.
on whether he could play in U-21 play-off…
We will try to get him maybe more training, and then join us directly maybe.
on Wilshere…
He has absorbed well his first obstacle of getting games. That means he has finally got 90 minutes and he has had no setbacks and the positives are that in every game he was sharper. That means he has a good fitness basis. Overall, the progression should be normal. I don’t think he will be available for selection [against West Brom], but from then it is whether I select him or not.

Charlie Nicholas says Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea would all be interested in buying Theo Walcott this summer - and has urged Arsenal not to let him leave.

The 27-year-old forward has not made Arsene Wenger's starting line-up since their 3-2 defeat to Manchester United at the end of February, playing just 15 minutes, in total, in back-to-back draws with West Ham and Crystal Palace.

That lack of playing time has brought both Walcott's Arsenal future and his chances of making England's Euro 2016 squad into question - but Gunners legend Nicholas is convinced the club would regret letting him go.

>The Soccer Saturday pundit said: "There has to be suitors looking at him. I don't see why Manchester United and Liverpool wouldn't be interested.

>"Theo has the pace that people will be interested in and Chelsea might also be looking at him if they're considering letting Eden Hazard go.

>"I think if the money was there, Arsene would sell him but I would not. It scares me that he could go to another club and deliver."

Nicholas, who made 184 appearances for Arsenal, believes Wenger can still get more out of the forward, who has only scored 10 goals or more once since arriving in 2006.

>He added: "I do believe he has it in him to score 20+ goals in a season. Arsene needs to change something for next season and he clearly needs to change the way he uses Walcott if he's going to get the best out of him.

Fellow Soccer Saturday pundit Matt Le Tissier agrees that Walcott will be looking to move this summer - and he encouraged him to consider clubs who won't be playing in the Champions League.

He told Sky Sports: "It's not looking great for him right now and for the sake of his career he needs to be somewhere he's going to play every week.

"I think he's in real danger of missing out on the Euros, I really do, and if he wants to be a first-choice striker he needs to be looking at one of the teams outside the Champions League challengers to have that guaranteed. I'd happily have him back at Southampton.

"He's obviously slipped down the pecking order at Arsenal. Alex Iwobi is now starting and Joel Campbell has also been picked ahead of him, so he's got to be asking questions."

Arsenal soccer club

- pointless plastic stadium, took a decade to pay for then along came big TV money

- skinny weakling players who can only consistently beat hoofball teams

- 90 yr old manager

- effeminate fanbase

- gay flags after a goal is scored to mask the empty space behind the goalposts

didn't say he wasn't, but there's a clear heirachy of pacey young black attackers in england.
martial is the new henry
ian-nacho is the new martial
rashford is the new martial
iwobi is the new rashford
origi is the new iwobi
it's just how it is, for example ian nacho is clearly better than all of these and origi is clearly better than rashford but i'm not the one that determines the order so hey ho

This could still easily be true.

City and Chelsea both have really good youth teams. How many players actually make it out of those youth teams?

Not many, because they choose to buy success.

Just because United's youth team is successful, doesn't necessarily mean that those youth players will be given a chance.
>>
>>66966476

yes and he probably will though
>>
>>66966489
Under a competent manager he would. This season reminds of Neymar's first season at Barca.
>>
>>66966488
But he said they abandoned their youth policy, when Utd have given like 10 academy players their debut this season and young players the brought in like Fosu-Mensah and Varela helped them win the U21s league.

They definitely splashed out on some big players, but they haven't abandoned youth at all.
>>
>>66966557
let's be honest, those yutes only got a chance due to injuries and to give something for the fans to cheer
>>
>>66966597
As opposed to our ones that don't get chances even when there's injuries and instead we have Monreal/Debuchy playing CB and Ramsey at RW/Ozil's position?
>>
Everyone who thinks our team is shit is massively damage controlling.

The reality of the situation is that our team was perfectly capable of winning the title this season, they 100% should have won the title this season, and they blew it.

I personally wish we were shit. That would make things so much easier. But this is so much more than just being a shit team.
>>
>>66966731
The majority of our good youth products are only like 16/17 so they're not ready for first team football.

Who else is actually ready? All I can think of is Iwobi, and he's been given the chance. And Bellerin was given the chance last year.
>>
>>66966778
Bielik and Crowley at least. Bielik was good when he came on in the League Cup and should have got a chance when Coq got injured. I would say Jeff too but Iwobi's ahead of him and it probably is still too early for him tbf.
Gnabry should be back involved now too.

I'm not saying we should just throw youth players into the team every time we get a chance, but they could definitely have had more/some opportunities.
>>
>>66966876
Crowley's been on loan but yeah Bielik could've got a chance.

I guess it was because we were genuinely challenging for the title back then and couldn't afford to be playing youth, whereas with United it never really mattered as they haven't had much to play for all season.

As for Gnabry, he was given a chance, and he took it, then he got a major injury, then he was loaned out for regular football, wasn't given regular football, and now he's back. Hopefully he'll get his chance soon though.
