Good.
Don't really follow the threads during race.
Too fucking fast.
Also, all the casuals with their shitty opinions.

True.

4 more laps and max would've passed gro, he was catching up pretty fast on those fresh tyres
>>66579298
But the cars are fast as fuck this season.
Didn't the nigga set a new record or something?
can someone explain why Bahrain is "Badger GP"?
Race threads are cancer. How can people watch a race and read/post at the same time anyway?
>>66579353
Too bad the race wasn't 4 more laps then, eh Jos?
>>66579388
its a shame for max but i really like grosjean too

two monitors
Just contributing with a picture of the race, and vague comments about alcohol and Russian prostitutes.
>>66579499
This
It is scary how much more efficient shit posting can be
>>66579509
>Russian prostitutes
in Bahrain?
Was the race enjoyable? I couldn't watch it but from what I've read on the news we had lots of shit happening on the track
>>66579560
I didn't get to sample them. But I assume it's similar to Dubai. Where there are plenty.
>>66579585
It was fun.
It was not hamrosvet at least.
>>66579585
it was enjoyable yes, especially as a Haas fan.
Though there were some disappointments, it is still worth a watch.
>>66579499
If you're looking at another monitor you're missing the race. It's fine during boring races but I think it ruins the good ones
>>66579585
It was great. The first 10 laps or so were complete carnage and things still happened as it slowed down, plenty of overtakes and interesting stuff.
>>66579585
7/10 race, not as good as Aus imo but still solid. First half was better than the second
393rd for the weekend in BadgerGP feelsgood.jg
>>66579624
theres plenty of times where they're showing the 10th replay of something or just 2 cars that aren't just quite battling yet
>>66579597
Noice
>>66579624
I can listen just fine and my attention is 70% on the race and less than 30% on 4chan, if nothing is really happening I scroll through the shitposts quicker and the opposite if cars are battling
I dunno why you're finding it so difficult really
>>66579704
To each their own I guess
>>66579704
and five times showing a car locking up in turn 9-10
>>66579778
I don't think it's difficult, I just think it takes away from the race and doesn't add anything other than an occasional laugh
>>66578883
A Nico fan since 2006. She is the best.
>>66579310
Is F1 the fastest sport on average in /sp/? We go through like 5 threads in a race, that's more than ebin tsuuuu el clasicos etc., while motogp rarely even has a thread for example.
Top 5 in the Dennis League, top 150 in the world. feelsgoodman.daguerrotype
>>66579865
fair enough, I can see what you mean if you spend more than a certain amount of the race shitposting instead of just viewing
Some races I barely bother with 4chan though, depends on how I'm feeling ig
>>66579375
top lel
>>66579893
i dont believe so
super bowl and world cup matches run through threads like crazy
>>66579893
tbf we get thourgh an entire thread during the first 5 laps what with the chaos and carnage.
if we consider that f1 races last for 1:30 while football matches are like 2 hours then yes, /f1/ threads are, ironically, the fastest threads in /sp/
of course that excludes bigger matches ie champions league final, world cup, super bowl, etc.
>>66579975
Yeah but that is one match every year or 1 match every 4 years
We have 20 races a season and have 5+ threads for each.
For a regular sport F1 has to be up there.

Haas f1 is a brand new constructor and they're showing real promise. Everybodys rooting for them.
Mercedes is universally hated for their dominance and douchebag drivers.
Scuderia Ferrari is a good team to root for if not because they're the closest to beating mercedes.
Williams used to be a top 3 team but they're dropping off quickly. a real sinking ship.
Red bull has two solid respectable drivers. they just need a little bit more from their cars to be a solid top 3 team.
Torro Rosso is sort of the jr team for red bull. not as good. cars and driver wise.
mclaren has two good drivers. the cars are the real problem. utter garbage material and i pitty anyone who sunk with the mclaren ship.
force india, sauber, manor, and renault, are all teams you only root for because you have a driver you like on their team. whether its because they're from you're home country or their based out of you're home country or whatever.

You gotta feel for Stevens. He stepped in post-Jules when no one else wanted to drive that car. The "2015" Manor was a piece of shit. And they said taking that one-off drive for Caterham at Abu Dhabit would be career suicide because you would never be able to show your true skills in that car and impress one of the bigger teams. They kick out Graeme Lowdon, new personnel, new livery, Mercedes engine, and now they are on the upswing.
When they didn't really have a choice and couldn't find anyone else, Stevens stepped in and drove for them. And now when they actually have resources to put together a package that's not a complete piece of shit, they don't bring Stevens back for a drive.

Sure, let me very quickly tell that to the sea of half-decent rookies with not a lot of money wanting to get their (often well-deserved) break in the sport and see what they have to say about it.
>They kick out Graeme Lowdon, new personnel, new livery, Mercedes engine, and now they are on the upswing.
This is not the old Manor anymore and you should've realized that by now. The real Manor, with Lowdon and the old personnel, is in WEC.
Guess who's driving for them this year?
>And now when they actually have resources to put together a package that's not a complete piece of shit, they don't bring Stevens back for a drive.
Why should they? Haryanto may not be great, but he brings far more money in and is a much better driver than Stevens, who was an absolute joke last year even accounting for the pseudo-2015 car.
>>66586296
he paid for the seat, it isn't like they had him on as a talent to be groomed for the future and brought back in every year
I always thought it was cool how Merhi was really more like a full-time FR3.5 driver that did F1 on the side during off-weekends. I wonder how the other drivers felt when they're beating him in FR3.5 and don't even have a GP start yet.

Why does the FIA insist on screwing up the quali format? Give the teams extra tires if you want them to do extra laps. Quali-trim is all about low fuel load and fresh tires, teams aren't going to put extra fuel and use up your tires doing extra laps just in case the 90 second knockout starts so you can have your flying lap count. Not counting flying laps is fucking stupid. And if you set a fast laptime early then you'll go back in the garage and wait anyways just like how the top teams would sandbag in Q1 before. The rule doesn't make any sense. Who is in charge of making these decisions?

A new "lap record", but I also blame the cooler track temps with night quali.
The 2013 V8s were low 1:32s and that was during the day in the desert heat, they definitely could have done sub 1:30 in cooler temps and super softs. Bahrain only became a night race recently when the new regulations came out.
There's no way the 1.6 liter V6 turbos are faster than the "old" 2000s cars or the V8s. Compared to 2014 the first season with the V6s the laptimes are going down. But it's still not faster yet.

It felt so good to hear DC again for a short while during the podium interviews.

Welcome to having a driver from your country in F1
National television will always suck the dick of their fellow drivers, Sky UK loves Hamilton, Sky Germany loves Rosberg/Vettel/Wehrlein (sometimes Hülkenberg).
The last time a driver won two races in a row and didn't win the WDC was in 1982

the first two races, not two races in a row

I like you Germany, you're fun

>Is Kvyat the worst driver currently in F1?
ericsson or haryanto... maybe nasr?
>>66586735
Must feel good to be honest...
Finnish team when!?
I miss the 'dorftrottel and literal autists' German
>>66587198
Of course! They act like he's Flemish too. That is until this weekend, now they acted a bit more neutral when he was on screen.

>He was showing real promise last year
no he wasn't

Was pleasantly surprised by him this race. He kinda slammed Sauber afterwards, saying the car is bad and that he didn't have full power the first five laps. Apparently they also miscalculated the fuel, he had to save on the last stint so he couldn't defend against stoffel and kmag.
>>66587373
>saying the car is bad
he does realise he races at sauber right?
>>66587301
He's still around, he just posts less since moving to ireland. I guess he's not considered a dorftrottel over there.
>>66587387
The car being slower than the Manor is unacceptable though.
Any hues know if Nasr dropped some insight into what is going on at Sauber? Seems both him and ERI are fed up.
>>66587387
Well not for much longer

>into what is going on at Sauber?
Monisha being Monisha
>The new Haas team and Romain Grosjean again starred. A good car that’s easy on the rubber and aerodynamically benign, smart tyre strategy and a top driver saw the 150-strong team take a very convincing fifth place. Eighteen points in two races and out-performing teams with 600 people, spending £200 million, it has confirmed that the non-factory team model has now changed
>It may be significant that the car’s suspension has been designed by the same man responsible for the tyre-friendly 2012-13 Lotuses that Grosjean used to light up the tracks with

>No dickandballs
Dissapointed
TOP FUCKING KEK, F1 IS SLOW AF
>However in race pace terms F1 is still almost four-and-a-half seconds per lap slower than it was 11 years ago. Yesterday’s race ran Safety Car-free in the evening cool and took 93 minutes, 34.696 seconds; the 2005 race also stayed green throughout, and in blazing heat with refuelling pit stops it took 89 minutes, 18.531 seconds.
>To put it another way, Rosberg would have finished the 2005 race 11th behind Tiago Monteiro’s Jordan.
