With the outfield set, rotation looking to be set, and even SS is pretty much a done deal, the major spot left is DH.
Spring of course is the biggest thing we have to qualify but we can still try to account for their age and previous experiences in majors or minors
I'm thinking so far the race looks like
1. Avisail Garcia (spring numbers from new stance too strong, but no clue if it'll carry over
2. Matt Davidson (if he can't play 3rd, at least let him have the chance to utilize that power)
3. Travis Ishikawa (maybe, but he'll be more like a backup 1B)
4. Jerry Sands (unlikely but has shown some power)
5. Coats/May/Sanchez (all unlikely and would better serve as backup or developing future position players)
Or maybe there'll be a mystery signing before the season begins but more than likely not. If avi falters, could be very likely to use ladunns 13m to aid in getting a good hitter by the trade deadline.
So still a very strange and contentious position for us. Really not quite sure what the answer is or should be.

Which division do you guys think is weaker, the AL Central or the AL East? On one hand, the AL Central literally has a World Series winning team and the Tigers have Miggy, but all the other teams are likely going to be trash. On the other hand, The Blue Jays are the only standout team in the East, the exceptional Yankees bullpen will only take them so far and the Red Sox, Os and Rays aren't going anywhere. Whichever division is worse is likely to be the worst division in baseball. The AL West has the Astros and Rangers, both made the postseason last season and who knows what the M's will do. The NL East has the Mets and the Nats, who could make the postseason. The Braves are rebuilding and will likely field a contending team in two years. The NL Central has three good teams, a team in full rebuild mode and the >broors. The NL West has the Dodgers who are likely to contend for that division as well as a decent D'Backs team and the Jints in an even number year.
Either way I think it is safe to say that the AL East and Central are both trash outside of KC and Toronto.

"Why can't Vazquez hit .270?" I find myself thinking when watching replays of him picking guys off of first and third. You may be able to tell I've got a man-crush on Vazquez, but the last thing I want to happen is repeat last year and get traded because he didn't hit during the first half of 2016.
