Vardy staying at Lester basically confirms a Top 4 finished, which is £25m quid. Then they can sign better sponsors. If they don't, it's irrelevant as with Vardy, I think they could get through to KO in CL if they avoided a Death Group and that's £15m or so.
Plus, he's English, so that's a Premium on top, plus it'll be to a 'rival' team, which also adds Premiums on top. £50m is nothing, seeing as they can get £25m by staying in Top 4.
Sterling went for £50m and had no record, yes, he's young, yes, he's English. But Vardy has got tons of goals this season which will boost him up.

I pay for no ads. The shows would get made, but I'd have to see ads. That's the difference. I get BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, the HD versions and the Red Button for the cost, no ads, and the TV shows, many of which are copied by USA.
The Office was a British show, copied by USA. Red Dwarf was British, it got a very short lived American version. I won't say Sherlock as that wasn't a show per se by the BBC when you did your versions and it's variants.
I don't mind, it's cool. I do like Doctor Who, especially the Warhammer 40k homage episode. But I stopped watching it before the end of the season with Smith and it's not on Netflix. Sherlock is cool too, but don't watch it unless it's on and I see it.
The thing Americans take the piss of, and maybe quite rightly, is that you cannot OWN a TV without paying a license. It's illegal. Even if you never use the TV and only use it for video game consoles, or as a PC monitor.
But, the thought is, if you have a TV, you can access the shows, and the fee is to pay for it. In fact, BBC has had to do some major cuts recently, to complaints, because of the rise of laptops, tablets and computers taking over from TV's. Since you don't need a license then, you don't fund them and you can watch the BBC using streams or the BBC website itself.
But the lack of ads and original drama is worth the price.

Smith could act, but his seasons were creepy, not dark or deep. The Silence were a great design, so simple, but freaky. It wasn't till the last few episodes it got dark. The episode where they're in the house where the rooms show your worst fears was great. The Dalek Asylum was heartbreaking in a way, but funny in others.

If you like Time Travel, you might like "Goodnight Sweetheart". About a man who discovers a time portal to WW2 Britain. Pretends to be a MI6 agent and has an affair with a woman in the 40's, while married to somebody in the 90's. It's very good, I've watched it through many times. I had hoped they would have done an one off in 2013, which I think was 10 years since it ended. I can't say what I hoped or it'd ruin it.
But if you like comedies and time travel, it's a great watch and the story progresses a lot, great development (I didn't even notice one of the actors changed half way through the entire thing, 3 seasons in, she changed and I didn't notice).
