Bears have been an average to above average winning team the last decade, with their formidable defense.
When Lovie was fired, we knew the Bears were very close to to the end of their window. There were the old aging superstars, and literally trash on the bench because the front office couldnt draft.
There was optimism with Trestman, that the Defense would hold while the offense gets rebuilt with 1 year bandaids.
Obviously the window closed and everyone crashed and burned.
Watching the season now, after watching fox get rid of older players, its about moving forward. We are watching all these young no name players and rookies seeing who is showing potential. And they have exceeded all expectations this year.
Its just a different mindset, because I trust our new GM to draft players that will pan out. Losses dont really hurt that much when you are looking to the future
