Ramsey is an underrated dribbler as well, he beat the most players out of anyone yesterday and muscled people off the ball a lot, and he is by far the greater goal threat, positionally and instinctually. Wilshere is not a bad finisher, he's just not wired to even attempt some of the things Ramsey does. Those guys you mentioned all have that additional creativity with them. Matuidi has Verratti and Motta, with Ibra up front. Vidal had Pirlo and now has Alonso. You get the idea. Right now because Arteta and Wilshere are injured, Ramsey is playing without that kind of player. Ozil is carrying the side in the playmaking department and Campbell has been surprisingly secure technically to provide what a wide number 10 does. But I still think too much of that responsibility is being put on Ramsey to get the very best out of him.

The funny thing is, I don't actually find that assist to be so cheap. Like a lot of Arsenal's goals these days, that one was possible because Ozil was able to find space between the lines to collect the ball and move it on to an attacking player.
If you're constantly getting into those positions it doesn't matter if you're delivering a defence-splitting final ball; a pre-assist to a full-back who crosses or cuts it back in the area; the pass to a winger who cuts inside and scores a screamer. All of those goals become possible precisely because you keep getting into the right positions and giving the ball to the right players.
