Because he has the jump shot of a guy who will be the 2nd best shooter in the NBA before long. And the NBA is trending to shooters right now. After you get past Towns and Porzingis no rookie has been particularly good, unless you count Okafor jacking up tons of shots because he plays on a terrible team. There's a handful of other rookies who would put up big numbers on this Philly team.
Booker is the real deal and the Suns have big plans for him. They're just babying him for his first season.
