I'll freely admit that there are well-run USASA-affiliated teams and shitty ones.
Just to use my local example, the Great Lakes Premier League was founded by 3 new Michigan teams after 2 of them (AFC Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids FC) were rejected by the NPSL. Those 2 teams made great team websites, stayed active on social media, worked to push GLPL as a relevant soccer event in Michigan, and had enough community support to be well-attended. They each played at high schools so you'd either buy your ticket "at the gate" ($10 for an adult, $6 for a kid, free for little kids) or season packages that you could buy on their website or through their preseason crowdfunding campaigns. They even each had their own beer created for them by local breweries (a Michigan must).
The other team, Oakland United FC, wasn't as active on social media, didn't get real uniforms until after the season had started, and generally seemed like they didn't care as much about the whole thing. Hopefully your local team isn't like that.

(1) Do you have friends? (I know this is a real question for people on 4chan.) If so, bring a group of them to a game and I guarantee your banter will be easily heard. Think MLELS ultras are plastic and that capo-led chants written by someone before the club culture had even developed are retarded? Here's your chance to come up with better shit.
If you don't know anyone who'd attend a soccer game with you, look up if your local team has a social media presence. They might not, if they're one of those shitty teams that don't take it seriously, but hopefully they do, and hopefully they announce supporters events where you can meet people outside of the games. There should be at least 1 supporters group that meets up at a bar before traveling to games together, which can be an easy way to enjoy any event with people you don't know. The owners/coaches/players probably have a bar they like to visit post-game too.
(2) Get involved. If your team has a shitty social media presence, offer to help out. Find out about season ticket deals. Consider recommending a high school to play at for a better experience, or a food truck/catering for games, or a bar for supporters to meet at pre-game. I know post-high school community events aren't a big thing in the U.S., but this is your chance to be part of something like that.

So, my local league has 28 teams in three divisions with promotion/relegation, but only one has a website, and who knows what constitutes "local" for me - this is Hawaii, where everything is either within 10 miles or across the ocean, and I'm not even from around here.

My local team is active on Facebook, Twitter, and their own website. But yeah, Facebook is where I've consistently seen the most USASA teams post their news/info across the country.
Let us know how the game goes though. Over here we can't have soccer going on right now because of the snow, so that's gotta be one of the few active USASA-affiliated leagues going on at this time of the year.

I would think MLS and NASL would be better off, relatively, than the other sports leagues, since they're already mostly reliant on ticket sales and near impossible to watch on TV anyway.
