I saw the Iowa Hawkeye coach at a grocery store in front of the selection committee yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person and that I was excited for our game tomorrow, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for the #4 seed or anything.

I was taken back, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “undefeated? undefeated? undefeated?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. When I came to play the game I saw him trying to walk out the doors with Iowa still in the playoffs and the B1G Championship trophy without the game being played yet.

This was a down year after the program lost some excellent talent, including the greatest QB-WR tandem in program history. The offense was listless but this was probably the strongest defensive unit the team has fielded since the Skip era. Were it not for a freak injury to Kurt Benkirk right before the season started, this team probably wins a division championship or at least makes a respectable, mid-major bowl.
This is wrong. MacNeill should be on the not seat, not burnt to a crisp like this.
What's more, the next guy is going to be up against it from day one because he'll have to deal with a hostile fan base and resentful players. He could be the second coming of Woody Hayes and he's still have to deal with a scorned community still hung up over Ruff.

What I meant by the Lacy comparison was that like Lacy he's not particularly explosive but he's deceivingly fast and very powerful. Henry is more consistent (and I believe faster) but Lacy has a sick spin move. Either way they both make a good yard or 2 after contact even if they don't break the tackle. Its unbelievable how slow Derick Henry looks even when he's outrunning the other teams fastest defensive players.
