It's more complex than what wins at the moment sometimes. Someone with achievements like Manning's commands respect. Like the Bears with Jared Allen this season, you have to treat your future Hall of Fame players with respect, or else you risk alienating the locker room. Even though they pretty much are, players don't want to feel expendable if they produce at a high level. That shit kills morale.
