I am sad
I am hungry
I'm 27, male, living on the west coast in the States. Sometimes I'm lonely, and I dream of packing up on a whim and driving out with no endpoint in mind.
24/m/uk
I wanted to say sad too, but it looks like everyone else has beat me to it.
So I'll say that I write poetry and actually performed at a spoken word night recently. It was actually nice and felt incredibly fulfilling.
>>22864136
Fantastic movie, by the way, did you read the book?
>>22864136
cant think of a fav but this would be up there
22/m/australian

19/mtf trans/england
the weather in the north is awful how do you guys put up with this?
>>22864168
i'm also a poet though i haven't been to an spoken word night before. Whats it like?
I will never in my life understand how anyone enjoyed Filth.
Do people ironically like it?
The humor is the most contrived trash I've ever had to sit through, it just fucking sucked, wasn't natural or fluent enough to get a giggle out of me, so god damn forced.
>>22864195
Going to assume this was for me. Spoken words nights are intense... The build up to you actually going up there and doing your piece is massive, but once you actually get into it (especially if the piece is personal), there's no better environment. If you get the chance, I'd recommend it.
Always remember, no one is there to mock or judge you at these sort of things. At least, not at the ones I go to.
>>22864195
I'm just used to the weather
>>22864209
Oops, yeah, replied to the wrong post. My bad.
Well that's reassuring then, the ones i've seen have been run by the uni so i guess it would mostly just be other people on my course there anyway who I already know. That was a worry, since a lot of my poetry can get quite intense and self-indulgent, but I guess that's the point of these things.
(Another favourite film just to keep the theme of the thread going)

I am an ancient male living in San Francisco
It's clear and cold and magical tonight; I will take a walk on Oceanside Beach with my lovely young wife in a little while, just to hear the roaring wind (and maybe fuck). I am not sure if we'll bring hot cocoa or cognac... or both!
>>22867596
We old dudes love Bogie, apparently
>>22867788
>Bogart
Lol, close.... his name is Bogarde and he resembles Bogart. It's a fairly fantastic movie, and every woman I've watched it with is as engaged and turned on by it as I am. It has so much food for the imagination, and it opens the door to so many topics for discussion and roleplay. After the last time I saw this movie, my gf and I went shopping for *cough* appropriate clothes.
>>22867878
(and then I married her)
>>22867878
Oh my god I just assumed based on the thumbnail. Ha!
The cover for the Night Porter has always entranced me. I will check it out based on your words anon
>>22867892
It's a lot like Last Tango for Nazis. There are no 'good' people in it, just immersive obsession. I'd say it's a red wine movie: not beer.

22/m/murica
I'm starting to feel like I'm the only one on this site that loves his life.
>c'mon people life is short, go enjoy it.

nice projection, kiddo
i was just fucking around
thanks for telling us all how sensitive you are
21/M/ Austin tx.
Im pretty hipster without any of the crustyness. It was either this or Under The Skin.
>>22870740
You clearly weren't kidding, its OK man. I was depressed at one point as well.
Calling me a "kiddo" must imply you are significantly older then me. Since I am 22 I'll guess you are in your 30s. Yet you are still browsing this board either seeking fake validation or looking to lose that wizard status that has plagued your adult life.
Either way, I'm still happy and I hope you find what you are looking for.
>>22869540
Liked that movie as well

>>22870775
lol you must not realize that i'm the op
have a good day buddy, try not to get too upset over these things
>>22870799
You shouldn't call someone a "kid" when you are clearly younger then them and less mature.
I said I was happy, and you made a passive aggressive comment with a picture. That implied I was bragging or trying to "impress" someone.
I'm sorry your life isn't what you want it to be. That doesn't mean everyone else has a shitty life.
Anyways, I'm not gonna argue. Enjoy your thread.
>>22870830
to be fair, you were bragging
"omg I feel like I'm the only person on 4chan who doesn't want to kill myself lol!!! just enjoy life guize!1"
that being said, I was legitimately fucking with you and I'm sorry that you couldn't handle what was obviously a joke
>>22870862
I never said anyone wanted to kill themselves, I just understand what a lot of people go through.
I was depressed for a long time, hit rock bottom and now I try and always smile and enjoy life.
I'm sorry you interpreted it the wrong way, I was being genuine. Life really is short and I hate to see people sad/depressed because I know how shitty it feels.
>>22870917
yeah dude I was making fun of what you said
>not going to argue

And can you recommend any good German films/ TV shows?
22/M/Canada
Moved to the city from a shitty town. Don't know anyone. Thought I'd get laid now that I don't live at home anymore but that's not gonna happen any time soon.
>>22870775
>you are in your 30s. Yet you are still browsing this board
heh, at what age, exactly, will you stop visiting 4chan?
