Finished the exam phase of my education a couple years ago, but the equivalent still sometimes happens.

sameish feel
i don't remember why, but i was trying to prove that there is a non-0 function that has 0 jerk at 0, basically a curve that starts as smoothly as can possibly be. it was for a thought experiment of mine, no academic obligations, so i would touch on it for several months with big intervals. then, about a week ago as i was returning from the gym with my buddy, not even having it on my mind, i remembered that taylor series are a thing. i felt completely retarded.

the greentext was horrible, i know there's a good story in there but i'm not going to put in the effort to make sense of it
