How comes a spinning electron creates a magnetic field?
>>
>>8139069
gravity pairs as a solution to the field equations as a product of torque
>>
because Magneto said so
>>
>>8139069
Why shouldn't it create a magnetic field?
>>
Because Maxwell.
>>
The electron doesn't see the magnetic field. What reference frame are you in?
>>
>>8139069
No one knows "why" magnetic fields happen, just the circumstances under which they do.
>>
That's a good question. My answer is: Humans eat iron. You should do an experiment where you eat different doses of different metals and see what happens. If Iron helps regulate body temperature, imagine how good you'd feel eating a gram of gold, or perhaps grinding some cobalt down and snorting it. Post results and belly button pic.
>>
Wouldnt be because moving currents produce a magnetic field?
>>
>>8139073
you fucking wish
>>
>>8139069
this >>8139650 is the correct answer, but since nobody else said it i will also add:

electrons dont fucking spin. spin is just a useful word to describe a property that happens to have a lot in common with angular momentum, mathematically, but which is not by any means actual angular momentum.
>>
>>8139069
Electrons spin because they exist in well defined elliptical orbit around the nucleus of the atom. They gain angular momentum due to gravity. Since they spin super fast they create magnetic fields around them caused by the negative charge they have. This is caused by the centrifugal force.

If electron's spin doesn't really describe spin what happens if you make them spin? Does an electron __in rest__ create a magnetic field relative to an observer that is also at rest? How are the poles determined?
>>
>>8139896
how do you spin a perfectly featureless object that doesnt even have a defined surface, let alone position?
>>
>>8139903
Grabbing it with your two fingers and throwing it away while moving your thumb fingers forwards and index finger backwards.
>>
>>8139910
hurrrrrrrrrr
>>
>>8139840
lel
>>
>>8139910
What if you rub some spit on the electron first?
>>
>>8139933
The spit becomes ionized.
>>
>>8139737

Also, correcting you, electrons do spin physically.
