Post the wackiest reconstructions you can find.
Also, dinosaurs had ears like human beings but the cartilage decomposes long before the bones.

What about this?
>>8127567
Yes like that, didn't mean literally.

>Yoda
>>8127575
I know, it just felt appropriate.
>>8127532
Oh, I've heard of this. Doesn't this guy have lots of neat illustrations of dinosaurs looking nothing like the popular conception, but looking fat and fluffy and frumpy?
>>8127586
Yup. He also illustrated some of David Peters' odd designs (with full knowledge of their inaccuracy, of course).
>>8127598
genius
>>8127616
Ok
>>8127598
OP said inaccurate

Man I love those sculptures at Crystal Palace, especially the giant frogs. At least they tried.
>>8127941
Tried and failed, but did so with style.
>>8127953
They're cool man, and people concentrate on the fail too much they really used some imagination based on their limited scientific understanding at the time. Portraying the ichthyosaurs in a seal-like manner may have been artistic license though, just for presentation's sake.
The mammal sculptures are pretty good too.
>>8127959
Ah, you mean these?
>>8127959
I'd honestly love to es a movie with them. Just imagine a Victorian Jurassic Park.
>>8128086
FWIW reconstructions have always been pretty retarded. The chinese fossil flood since 2000 shows that pretty much all of the 20th century reconstruction is just as laughable as the victorian stuff.
>>8128110
Even now, just look at the one on the left.
>>8128119
Hallucigenia inverted is right up there with Cope putting Elasmosaurus' head on the end of its tail.
>>8128134
Can't forget these fine gents.
No fedora, srsly.
>>8127542
Just like snakes, alligators, crocodiles, lizards, komodo dragons and all other external ear reptiles, right?
>>8127921
not that different if you put hair on it, the biggest difference is the tail which is like that in reptils
>>8127318
Australia has you covered. Seriously though, how the fuck did it end up like it is?
>>8127567
Since they probably bucked like stags, those ears wouldn't last very long before getting torn to shreds.
Guys, guys, hey guys...
What if T-rex was indeed bipedal, but walked on its forelimbs?

>The chinese fossil flood since 2000
What turned up?
>>8128735
Hhha somebody should drawethat
Has to be my favorite
>>8128735
I remember seeing that in an old encyclopedia one time. Pic somewhat related.
>>8128736
Lots of bird-dinosaur transitions. Remember Yi Qi?
