im taking differential equations and dont remember any integral calculus

how fucked am i?
>>
you remember how to take the integral of basic functions right? that and some trig integration/substitution is probably all you'll need to get started in a diffEQ course.

Do some review nerd.

The magic 8 ball says the outlook is not good.
>>
Is it even needed? Isn't DiffEqs just more advanced derivative stuff?
>>
>>8116412
""""advanced""" derivatives
>>
>>8116412
Nah. A basic diffeq class relies heavily on your ability to do simple integrations. How else are you expecting to solve for differential equations without integration?
>>
>>8116417
I've never taken it I'm only calc I. I don't really know what a differential equation is, I thought it was something like equations where you're relating the derivatives on both sides instead of just variables.
>>
>>8116423
Basically a differential equation is an equation the involves a derivative. The whole goal of the class is to examine different ways to solve for the original equation of different types of differential equations. (E.g. linear, second order, homogenous, etc.)
>>
>>8116412
there are a lot of differential equations where you can't solve them analytically so you have to use power series and Bessel functions, as well as laplace transforms which are integral transforms
>>
All you need for DE is integration by parts, ln integration, Taylor series and partial derivatives. Oh and some linear algebra.
