It also seems like #AnonOps has gotten involved. Perhaps someone should contact them. It's been years since I've been on their irc channels. The way it ran when I left was that each channel on the server was ran by a different group of people (anyone could make a channel and try to get others to join in support of whatever cause).
It wasn't uncommon for different channels on the server to be on entirely different sides of an issue or to have entirely different ideologies. The majority of stuff that got into the media was often the retarded shit made by idiots on youtube and facebook with no connection to AnonOps.
