Is real life "memoryless". That is, does where the universe go next depend entirely on its current state only, or does one need to know the history of the universe in order to predict its future?

Both.
It will be perpetuated by events of the past, of course, but inductive reasoning will only get a human so far.

Real life is a gigantic open markov chain network.
If you know how every process in the universe works then you don't need to know what happened in the past to predict the future.
The fact that energy and time are related through a Fourier transform (integral from - infinity to infinity) implies non locality in time.

Isnt that literally an axiom of classical mechanics?
From Arnold
> The initial state of a mechanical system uniquely determines all of its motion.

I'd agree with this
life is like a video game only the tick interval is instant

video games are entertainment and there is no soul

>real life is classical
Lol

Basically, gravity caused planets and stars to form, gravity is determined by the location of other matter, gravity follows a set law, therefore, all movements were determined immedietly after the big vang

Have you seen this thread?

except they aren't
this is true for momentum and position representations but not for energy and time

Fourier transform the time independent Schrödinger equation and you get the time independent one (Hpsi=Epsi)
