This isn't a meme. I don't think it's any secret that Erasmus Darwin and his constituents in the Lunar Society of Birmingham were actively pursuing the objective of dismantling the authority of faith and sacred texts by forming philosophical systems that would weave the entire story of creation from it's beginnings up until the current day. It's not particularly far fetched to believe that Charles Darwin carried the torch of his grandfathers ideals and wished to further this objective with his own work.
I mean, it's undeniable that Charles had the entire conception of evolution fully formed in his mind long before he wrote the Origin of Species from the writings of his grandfather. At what point should we consider that Charles was in fact actively seeking to prove and fulfill these writings?
