There are not facts and no truths outside personal utility and subjective desires. Our truths and facts are so because we need and want them as a society. But in a quasi-infinite universe, nothing is more certain than something else. All theories are equally unlikely to be really true, because x/∞ is still 0, no matter the x. So fundamentally, anyone should be free to believe what they please. One needs to accept science as a whole first, perhaps, in order to be compelled to accept some particular scientific fact.
