why do magnetic fields make patterns like pic related?

magnetronical forces

Because there's two poles, and you see all the lines because the magnetic current or whatever it's called is going through those iron filings like electricity flowing through a metal rod.

Here's the answer you're looking for, although you might not have realized it.

because

But it's precisely because math shows this.

Math is just logic, but it needs a special format because real world is too complex to be described by words.
>>
>>7859684
math equations say so!
>>
So the magnetic field is toroidal and those lines are a slice of it?
>>
That's like my favorite Metallica album

Yup
>>
>>7859723
So why does this result show that the magnetic field is toroidal?
Or some other result? What type of mathematical results describe the geometry of the magnetic field?
>>
>>7860073
Yes this is the reason. The torus is a vortex. It has a self-resonant structure, the entire vortex can be easily destroyed affecting only one part of it, the surface of the water for instance. It connects an inner singularity and the outer shape. Microcosm linked to macrocosm. Allows the bunch of space in between to have a ton of scale from a self-contained reference point, considering just how peculiarly small the dynamo can be. I guess it's just a simple 3D geometry that is easily constructed for some reason. Maybe it's because everything's made of the damned things on the atomic level that we have a fractal reproduction of it on higher scales.

Gaps in the crystal structure of the magnetic alloy allow electrons to be ejected and retracted in a large parabola... in other words boroning

>>7860199
Jesus Fuck, is that really how it works? I didn't know that. I thought magnets just like to draw horror movie concept art.
>>
>>7859723
so you're telling me
a fucking dorito multiplied by magnetic flux density creates the pattern of magnetic fields like op's pic
>>
>>7860505
What that means is that the total magnetic flux emanating from a volume of space is always equal to zero.

This is because (so far) all known sources of magnetic fields have a 'north' pole, from which the field lines emerge, and a 'south' pole into which they return - there's no such thing (yet detected) as a magnetic monopole.

Therefore, all the field lines going into a region of space are balanced by lines coming out of it.

Contrast this to electric charges, which can exist as lone positive or negative charges.

The Dorito sign is called the Del operator, which is like a gradient function for 3D vectors.

So why are monopoles impossibru /sci /?

and still not many people know.

Can someone please expand on why magnetic fields are toroidal?

toroids are monopoles

EE here.

1. Magnetic fields are created by electrical current. Imagine a cable, the shape of the magnetic field is a circunference around that cable.

2. A magnet is analogous to an electric circuit or a cable ring if you prefer, so if you draw that circunference around that ring you get a toroid.
>>
>>7864546
>EE here
now I know you lied about your response
>>
>>7864547
If you got a better explanaition write it.

hard mode, no magic
>>
>>7863850
Math includes EVERYTHING mathematicians research, including logic. Just because math uses logic does not mean that logic is not a part of math. It is just the most foundational area. At least, that's how both I and most others understand the language. Arguing about it is really pointless since it's quite literally just semantics what you consider math, logic, or philosophy when you get to the foundations level.
>>
>>7859730
Things'll never be the same!!!
>>
>>7860505
gee thanks asshole, now I'll forever remember del as dorito
>>
>>7859723
That's not "why" the shape is that way.
That equation comes from the fact that we observe the shape is toroidal.

but everyone called me delusional for suggesting vortex math to map a perfect torus using the fibonacci sequence and if I'm not wrong, also suggesting a turing complete base 9 system.

it gets philosophical real fast, but isn't it inevitable when talking about the most fundamental particles of our universe?

Dude, please learn about formal logic.

>everyone called me delusional for suggesting vortex math to map a perfect torus
Please go on and map a perfect torus using vortex math, or refer to someone's work on the subject.
I want to see how "vortex math" is used rigorously.

Becouse there are time varying electrical charge density inside the magnet. Electric field changes at the speed of light in every coordinate. We call the relativistic effect magnetism.

got what wrong? your mental competency to learn about formal logic? sorry, i've seen retarded shit posted here all the time, but had no idea that actual downs syndrome patients were allowed on this board

Keep projecting, philosocuck. You know nothing about formal logic. You're not a mathematician and never will be.

thank you for that (admittedly emotional) admission of defeat. gödel will no longer spin in his grave. your shitposts will serve as a signature on a declaration for upping the dose of your down's syndrome medication. now please get off the science and math board to save yourself from any further embarrassment.
