Could we theoretically make the common cold go extinct?

As in, when we take to the stars we make sure no carriers of the common cold/influenza/HIV/herpes/etc get to come along?

It's literally fucking impossible because there are hundreds maybe thousands of viruses and bacterial infections which lead to the common cold symptoms.
This is why no vaccine exists for the "common cold".

I figured as much, that's why I included just keeping it on Earth. Or does the body never actually get rid of the cold virus?
I figured if someone was isolated to make sure they weren't sick or kept until after they made a recovery that they no longer had the virus at all.
