Question I have always wondered Why is the light that is on

First question should be: is that really so? it could very well be that it is blue compared to the lighting in the rest of the room. Expose your eyes to one colour and look at another colour and you will see your eyes deceive you.

If you try analysing a picture you have to be sure the camera isn't trying to "compensate" things. High end cameras pull a lot of stunts to compensate rotten optics. and dodgy sensors. It may very well be that a cheap camera works the best here.

The color of indoor light is different from the color of sunlight, pic related. You can see that the incandescent light has a much lower temperature than the florescent light and is much more reddish. Sunlight is around 6,500 K, so its no suprise you see it as blue.

It isn't, its bandwidth is just much larger than that of the filtered sunlight through the curtains / light from your bulb, so it contains more of the higher frequency light, looking blue-er in comparison.
TL;DR it contains blue spectral parts that are filtered out by the curtains, your eyes deceive you by assuming the filtered light is white (constant in frequency domain) when it isn't.
