Jeranism believes that maths does not describe reality.

What do the brilliant people of /sci/ think of this notion?

What is their argument ?

Math is shit tier
>>

It's factually incorrect.
>>
It depends on your definition of "reality." Do words describe reality? Do pictures describe reality?

I just looked up Jeranism and they're the flat Earth people. You would get much better answers if you actually asked the question yourself instead of just baiting for replies.

what is their argument cuckface ?
>>
Math doesn't describe anything, people do.
>>
The argument is that since mathematics works in favour of a round earth, mathematics cannot describe reality.
Not making it up.

>>7791894
do they reject all math? or just complex math?
do they reject basic arithmetic?
>>

It's actually still being debated.
Can morals, justice, or ethics be described by mathematics, or in other words, quantified?

I personally think that yes, but since we don't even have a theory that describes the basis of reality coherently it is possible that it's not the case.

I want to know this as well. Do they define the threshold where math stops working?
>>
>people are retarded
>people made jeranism
>therefore jeranism is retarded
>>
>>7791642
isnt that just anti-realism
>>
>>7791642
Of course it doesn't describe reality. It merely gives us an approximation.
