So ever since late last year there's been this subculture of pooping spreading (no pun intended) called squattypotty. It apparently states that pooping in a natural position, such as a squat just like our ancestors did, provides health benefits. I couldn't find any real research to back this up and I assume its just mainstream Dr Oz meme garbage but can any biologists here help me out?

Mudslimes squat when they shit so SJWs claim it's better.

>appeal to ancestory
They also never brushed their teeth, bathed frequently, and definitely didn't wash their hands.

>squattypotty

Jesus fucking Christ, fucking Americans. If they didn't eat so much garbage they wouldn't have defecation problems in the first place.

Satan couldn't have invented such a disgusting populace.

I thought myself that the whole "majority of people still do this" and the "they have less colon cancer and hemorrhoids than us hurr durr!" to be pretty inconclusive.

Its almost like these websites are just trying to get out articles ASAP using the smallest amount of actual science to make readers think this is better, which causes their brainless selves to tell other people about it causing website traffic and $$$ to be generated.

When you sit on a toilet your bowel kinks, that position unkinks the bowel for an easier movement.

>>7784486
I for one don't like straining to shit, but I agree its a stupid invention.

Here's how to achieve the same effect for free: sit normally, then bend all the way over until your stomach touches your leg. Nice unlinked bowel.
>>

Anatomy doesn't work that way. Nothing gets 'kinked' in your large intestine. You are talking about something about the toughness and rigity of a garden hose.

Squatting helps build pressure is all. You can build the same pressure on a seat toilet by leaning forward and putting your chest to your knees.

Just because dysfunctional 3rd world people do something, doesn't make it better.
>>
>>7785679
When assume a sitting position there's a 90 degree incline in your large intestine. This makes the shit hard to pass through. Straightening out the intestine makes the movement way easier.

I'm not saying your intestine knots when you sit, but its not conducive for a bowel movement.
