Why do people think scientists study all the time and have no

Where did this common misconception come from?
>>
probably because high school nerds always show that distinct trait
>>
Why does STEM often receive so much hatred? Has it always been like this? Or it is only a recent trend?

No its not that. Every comment I see around in forums online depicts some idealized scientist who "works hard" doing "real science" (as opposed to media endorsed pop sci).

it has been always like that, but for different reasons through history. Is not exactly for envy or just because STEM people are arrogant but rather because sciences show the world as it is and not as you would like it to be.

Sure, a lot of people liked the idea of the "animaculli" inside every spermatozoa but when you use a microscope to see it there is no magical "little man" inside and so on with a lot of things people would like to be the way they imagined and they can't deny without adminiting they're delusional or mad.

Normie get the fuck out
>>
>>7778380

everyone who is passionate about science or tech is basically a loner/introvert or they were in the nerd group in school

this is how things have worked since the dawn of fucking time

fuck off, virgin

Because it is actually true.

The "work" they do feels like "play time" to them. Their play time is enjoying this activity with other people in the same mindset. Normies look at that and think it has nothing to do with social interaction from a "fun" standpoint. From a normies perspective they are "working all the time and have no social life because they are not like we are and not doing the same things we are."

A normie looks at 3 nerds doing 1 math problem and thinks it has nothing to do with social interaction. A normie looks at 3 normies playing football tag and they think it is high art of social interaction and want to join it. Yet, both groups are having fun and are intensely social.

Since there are more normies in the world, their mindset makes up the majority of "the way the world really is".
