>Being an Engineering Technology major
>Can't become an astronaut with it

The following degree fields are not considered qualifying:
--Degrees in Technology (Engineering Technology, Aviation Technology, Medical Technology, etc.)
--Degrees in Psychology (except for Clinical Psychology, Physiological Psychology, or Experimental Psychology, which are qualifying)
--Degrees in Nursing
--Degrees in Exercise Physiology or similar fields
--Degrees in Social Sciences (Geography, Anthropology, Archaeology, etc.)
--Degrees in Aviation, Aviation Management, or similar fields
Not only are engineering technology people made fun of to begin with, they can't even become astronauts. How can one major be so pathetic?

A lot of these new age modern degrees are bullshit used to con poor people.
Go on the Oxford university and Cambrdige university websites and look at their undergrad courses offered. If something isn't listed on at least one of the websites, it is new age shit that must be avoided.

It's literally not even a university major.
If your """university""" has it, you are probably attending a trade school.
Why do you have the need to feel elitist towards them at all? They know exactly where they stand (unlike the people on this board).
Because Engineering Technology isn't like mechanical/electrical/chemical engineering, its literally a tradeschool degree with the word engineering in it. You don't even study it at a bachelor level.

pick two
engineering and engineering technology are two different things
>>7750789
Pretty sure he knows that...
>>7750789
I'm not retarded, I know that anon.
>>7750789
guess i'm the retarded one whoops
read it as engineering not eng tech my bad
>>7750795
engineer tech detected
what do you even do with that degree?
Can Chemical Engineers become astronauts ?
Not that I plan on being one but it's interesting to know.

beg for money for star citizen as an "expert'?
>>7750805
I don't see why not , the posting only says an engineering degree from an accreditted place

You can pretty much do most industrial jobs with them.
They actually have a better job market than most university degree holders because they can do any of the monotonous technical job which science degrees are usually hired for such as QC etc. only they are more reliable because they aren't as ambitious.
Most manufacturing companies would prefer hiring a technologist over a chemist for example.

I disagree. Elitist narrow minded views such as you are oversaturating the market with the same generalists. A kid gets pushed to study civil engineering when employers are looking for building services engineers in particular. Likewise a kid gets told to do mechanical engineering when there may have been a shortage of control engineers making mechatronics a better idea.
