Hi all there, I've just read an article on the wendelstein x 7 nuclear fusion reactor and it brought me back all my curiosity for atom's nucleusis, radioactive decay and fission. Now I'm looking forward to gain a better understaing of nuclear fusion and plasma. I'm actually at second year of chemical engineering and I'd like to know if you can suggest me some books about the arguments stated above, all of them. Doesn't matter if there's a title which is too difficult, I'll be glad to know and I might keep that for the future.
Plus, if any italian fellow know any book written in italian it would be much appreciated too.
Also, general Nuclear fusion thread.

Stupid thread. We will never harness fusion energy.

Stupid poster. We will never harness the energy of sour grapes (unfortunately).

Actually, we've already have. The project name was Castle Bravo.

Now we just want to downscale that.

How can I as an Electrical Engineering student contribute to nuclear fusion?

truuu
but theres stuff you can do with pulsed power systems and electronics, especially with systems that use very precisely timed magnetic compression like Helions FRC device. i know tri alpha energy is hiring some plasma phys, diagnostics scientists, and pulsed power guys. it matters more that you can show that youre capable enough to handle precise careful work than what specific degree you have
