Do you guys think someone who is "good" at writing fiction is as skilled and intelligent as someone who is good at high level math? To me it is laughable to even think is.

you are insecure
you need validation from other insecure anonymous mouthbreathers
they will tell you what you want to hear
they will tell you what you don't want to hear to be contrarion

To me it is laughable that you even thought to make this thread.

There are different types of intelligence. Being able to weave a convincing and well loved story is harder than math.

They can be, if they're a true master of writing. But the standard fiction author these days is probably only one, maybe 2 standard deviations above the norm in intelligence, so smart enough to be smarter than the average pleb to not smart enough to realize he's not all that smart. Just take a look at Dan Brown.

To me it is laughable to even make the comparison like it could somehow be ever be considered meaningful.

If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.

This.

If you are really good writer why can't you write a story about a genius who solves the math problem you can't solve.
>>
>>7712703
You aren't good at high level maths so I wouldn't worry about it.

This op is a faggot

>someone who is "good" at writing fiction
I have yet to see an example of this. All fiction is infantile escapism and extremely cringeworthy.
>>
>>7712703
Yes but they're not as motivated.

>There are different types of intelligence

No there are not. Verbal and mathematical performance are correlated, suggesting a common factor g underlying both verbal and mathematical ability in the brain. We call this fluid intelligence.

I don't think you actually know the difference between fluid and crystalized intelligence.
