The second law of thermodynamics indicates the irreversibility of natural processes, and, in many cases, the tendency of natural processes to lead towards spatial homogeneity of matter and energy, and especially of temperature. It can be formulated in a variety of interesting and important ways.
It implies the existence of a quantity called the entropy of a thermodynamic system. In terms of this quantity it implies that

Causation is just another word for correlation.
Example 1:
We observe that smoking and lung cancer often appear together. Therefore we conclude that lung cancer causes a greater appetite for cigarettes.
Example 2:
We observe that climate is changing. We also observe that humans are doing things. Therefore climate change must be caused by humans and has never changed before humans influenced it and anyone who disagrees with this truth is a dumb evil republican capitalist who knows nothing about science, statistics or common sense.

You niggers need Aquinas

You need Goddel. Every ontological argument is reduced to belif.

what is the difference between causation and causality

For the most part, it's a shitty meme that destroys modern scientific study.
Example
>tons of people are being vaccinated and autism is on the rise
>therefore, vaccines cause autism
>it totally isn't the increase in skills needed to diagnose the disease, or folic acid, or anything else
>it's vaccines
Or
>tons of people who smoke get lung cancer
>therefore smoking causes lung cancer
>it totally isn't diet, radon, radiation, asbestos, or anything else
>it's smoking

An interaction that results in a state.

>smoking is not concentrated exposure to radon, radiation, asbestos, or anything else
Better bait than OP.
>>8095471
Maybe if you combine it with nasty shit like radon gas.
It might diminish lung capacity greatly based on how often you do it (like chainsmoking), but the links to smoking and heart disease, emphysema, and COPD are weak and unfounded.
Also, air pollution from factories and cars are a far bigger and more likely culprit.
At least the vaccines/autism link is much less popular, tons of shut diseases could come back if more people end up refusing to vaccinate their children.

Mozilla Firefox also causes autism
(or is it an effect?)
