To gauge what kind of individual you are. Interviewers can read what kind of a person you are through body language and responses, even if you don't have any or much experience you're still likely the get the job if you show you're capable.

How old are you, 15? Every single job ever has asked for 10 times more than what they're going to get. Why? Because they want the most bang for their buck.

The employee / employer relationship has always been the same: Employee wants the most money and benefits for the least amount of effort, and the employer wants a fucking rock star of an Einstein, free of charge.

Point being, the job experience request and your failing to get the job have nothing to do with one another. Either you fucked up the interview, someone better than you was interested, or the employer fucked up and took someone who merely seemed better than you.

Tough luck. Suck it up and keep trying. You know, like all the other 99.9999% of the world are doing.

There has to be a quota those fuckers have to fill. Bring in x amount of candidates per week until you hire a replacement. As long as they can dash the hopes of people everywhere [and liter Indeed/Careerbuilder with ads] then they can make their paycheck.

I only have a problem with vague requirements

If you require it, then dont beat around the bush, do a phone interview, if I don't have what you want, dont waste my time with a physical interview if you know youre gonna just deny me because some other guy is obviously better.

It's also frustrating how they can never make a decision by themselves, they can never say you got or didnt get the job after an interview, they always say "we'll get back to you" and they never do. I want atleast an email saying I didn't get it
