Even when applying for the most robot-tier jobs, I couldn't get hired, because for some reason, you still have to do the normie dance with the interviewer (even if it's unneeded for the job).
I worked for hours trying to overcome my mopey resting face, tried to get appropriate volume and tonality, practiced small talk, got a better haircut, lost some weight, etc.
But it didn't matter. No matter how hard I tried I just couldn't get hired. I couldn't get through the door to prove I could do the job just fine.
