You fuckers do realise that having a gf isn't going to make you happy in the long run.

All my friends who are in long term relationships say that it is great for a few months, but then you get used to it, your brain stops making the feel good chemicals and you are stuck with someone, so it's more important to be with someone who you really get along with, rather than just "having a gf".

I mean my uncle was married with 2 kids when he committed suicide (I still don't know why, but my parents told me it was though depression), so this obviously isn't the answer to being happy.

I think happiness comes from:

Challenging and bettering yourself
Being physically healthy (you don't have to lift, just go for a run or a cycle or something and watch what you eat)
Being creative (make music or art or a game or something)
Looking forward to future things (this sounds stupid, but it probably more exciting then actually doing the thing itself)
Talking and making friends with people who have the same hobbies as you (They don't have to be 'normies', infact it's probably better if they aren't)
Taking up any other deep, meaningful or challenging hobbies (and maybe make more friends along the way)

Avoid procrastinating
Avoid heavy drinking, smoking, eating, drugs e.c.t
Avoid playing loads of vidya (although making online friends is actually a positive, and games can be a great work break, or a way to chill in the evenings)

tl:dr: close 4chan and go and do something fun or rewarding/productive, cos no one else is gonna bring happiness to you

people need to hear this, and I'm not gonna let this die

No, but feeling that someone actually sees me as a man and desires to actually be with me would.

Now fuck off.

You are so wrong. You will get used to it, I can guarantee you.
There will always be something that makes you feel inferior, no matter who or what you have or don't have.
And some people stop loving each other after periods of time, simply because they get use to it or are not right for each other, so just having someone can't be the source of their happiness.
Just having someone won't validate you, only you can do that, and that comes from within.
Also, what's making you feel this way is literally just chemicals in your brain, trying to get you to mate...

No, having a gf won't magically make you happy. That said, it's really nice to have a partner in crime.
>>
>>28444938
You can used to everything

So what's the point of anything?
>>
>>28444970
This is true though... I have found this. The keyword here is 'events'. it's about short term things, not 'having friends' or 'having passions'.
>>
>>28445025
It's not about short term things. It was observed in people who won the lottery and despite being rich for decades they still returned to the same level of happiness/misery as before eventually.
>>
>>28445009
It's very difficult to get used to ever-changing challenges, or anything creative. That's why they are good things to do.
>>

>You are so wrong. You will get used to it, I can guarantee you.
There is no way to prove that.
>>
>>28445048
Well yeh, thats still my point, you have to do things. The event here is winning the lottery, it will make you happy for a bit, but after a while you return to normal. Even giving the money away will only make you happy for a bit, and I don't need to tell that having a big number in your bank account will make you happy either.
But I didn't mention any of these things in my list...

>People break up
>People have unhappy marriages
>People commit suicide whilst in a relationship
>People get divorced

what you say is correct but you can still add to it:
have a gf/wife/spouse. because healthy relationship IS going to make you happy. unless you already have children so spouse is not necessary.

>never even get the slightest hint that a woman thinks of you as a fellow human being
THIS is the problem. I want to feel desired and loved. I don't give a fucking shit about it not lasting, all I want to know is that someone actually wants me.

Yes, but that point there is having a healthy relationship, not just having a relationship. Being single is better than being in an unhappy relationship because it can make your life much worse, and you might miss that person who you really get on with.
Also you need to be happy with yourself before you can be happy with others, so you are unlikely to find and stay in a good relationship if you don't sort yourself out first.
>>
>>28445181
But you'll just find something else to want after a while, so what's the point? This is your brain chemicals talking...

Its pretty good but at the same time it can be annoying as fuck and you feel like you lose free time that you'd have spent on vidya or binge watching weebshit or looking at filthy porn

Women are all unstable too, and are emotionally draining to deal with, I've never felt more fucking tired in my life after dealing with the latest meltdown or tantrum or crying spree over BULLSHIT that no rational human should get so upset over, and just caring about them generally wears you down over time

We do anal a bunch though so you know swings and roundabouts
>>
>>28445518
Of course I will find other things, but none as important as this. This is the very core of feeling like a human being, and I don't have it. I will never be a real man.
