3rd/2nd shift motel desk cunt in northern Georgia. Budget motel, Indian-owned, but actually extraordinarily clean and well kept-up.

It doesn't happen often, but I've had a couple yankee females get upset that they were awoken during the night at the motel by other guests or vehicles, etc. They both came up in the morning and said that they were "going to dispute the credit card charges in whole and get all their money back because they have been with that bank for X years"

I've had similar reports from damn near everyone working retail. I wouldn't consider my job as retail exactly.
It might be my attitude; I've been lucky/skilled enough to develop great social skills and affability. That's probably part of it.
But folks coming up into hotels just don't seem as bitchy as people in retail. Or GOD FORBID fast food. Every time I've gone through the drive-thru to get some grub before work, there's been some rude-ass yelling person in front of me getting greasy burgers for their entire group of spawn. Mostly older customers who are pretty relaxed, pay is above minimum rate, good team spirit, don't have to work tills, freedom to be creative with displays, out in all weathers.
Cons.
Out in all weathers, occasional ignorant customers, store manager is constantly being shuffled from branch to branch as other managers get sacked, can be VERY physical work(selling and netting150 Xmas trees in one day is tiring as fuck.)

I worked as a cashier for over a year and i pretty much never talked to customers outside of telling them to swipe their card or answering dumb questions. Never got written up or talked to about it, miserable fucking job though.

Holy shit the people we get here. We are a clothing store that sells sub-par clothes and people go absolutely apeshit over this stuff! In georgia, it gets pretty fucking hot in May and just yesterday I rang out a woman who bought like 10 giant winter jackets just because they were on clearance! Then we got coupons and holy shit I think satan invented them. We have in store coupons and online coupons. The in store ones have barcodes on them and we can scan them but the online ones are just codes and we can't type them in or anything. People just show me their phones with the codes on them and I can't do shit and they turn into demons! There is seriously NOTHING I can do! It's just clothes. The customers just feel so entitled.
