if you two hand your great shield you become basically unkillable in PvP. Just level up your endurance to get more stamina.

attacking with it counts as blocking for every non attack or recovery frame, so you can hit through a huge amount of attacks.
Plus two handing seems to reduce the stamina drain from having your shield attacked by a large amount.

Up until reading your stuff I camp my shield and try to just time my blocks so I can get all my stamina back, most of the time it works but then I cant really fight back.
Ontop of that people two -hand wielding a normal sword or katana break it in one charged attack.
I'll try your advice anon

Smough and Ornstein are one of the better bosses in the series appearing in Dark Souls 1 in Anor Londo. They've become memes in the community due to their popularity in the original game. Both their armor appears in Dark Souls 3 so a lot of people like to cosplay as them, moreso Ornstein (the lion knight with the spear) than Smough (the fat guy with the hammer) from what I've seen.

Sorcery scales off Intelligence, miracles off faith, Pyromancy and Dark Magic off of both.
What was your first build like?
In Demon Souls I went with a sword, a shield, and a bow.

I know that feel. But if you are afraid getting invaded go for Way of the Blue or get a Sunbro.
Also Miracles suck major balls in DS 3.

I always end up using Ultra Greatsword. In Ds1 I did a Giant Dad build for the memes but I've gotten so used to the Zweihander that it became my go-to in Ds2 and 3.
Bloodborne I had an arcane/strength build using the tonitrus and it was incredible (in PVE. PVP I was trash.)

zweihander has a nice moveset for trash, but its stabby attack after a roll is really hit or miss on some bosses hitboxes. I prefer the claymore for bosses

From what I've found, it's better in DS3 for PvP than PvE. It doesn't give the smackdown like it did in Dark Souls 1 but a lot of the people I've fought don't really know what to do against it.
What're you guys doing right now?
In Demon Souls I'm using the Blue and Red Eye Knights to farm souls so I can get my strength up to 22.
I wanna be able to properly use the purple flame shield so Stonefang mines will be a bit easier.
I've beaten dark souls 3 5 times so right now I'm farming for the silver knight set in Amor londo and will be using a greatbow to knock people off ledges when I invade them. I'm not gonna kill aldrich because I wanna host fight clubs. Only build i haven't made yet is sorcery, on the one I'm using right now going pyro/quality. I keep losing to estoc shitters in pvp though

This, as far as I can tell is because they have a new system where you can only summon people with weapons that are upgraded to the same level as you. Also, I think summon signs that are out of your level range show up.
When I first got to irithyll I couldn't summon anyone. I leveled up 10 levels or so and came back and had no issues summoning
