i remember everyone was very hostile back then. at least they weren't liars thanking me for declining their guild invitation though.
I didn't start playing RS until '07 and never got very far, still level 70. I know that feel though. All that sacrifice was supposed to pay off and catapult you forward socially but instead it just ended with us being stunted manchildren who pine for youth. At least that's how it is for me. I just want to collect and play with toys without a care.

runescape and wow back then were godlike, completely different games then anything else at the time to exist
even now the older versions of the games would be considered better then 90% of the garbage produced now

Runescape in early 2000's was fucking incredible. The game was well ahead of its time and worth the thousands of hours wasted on it.
