It's fucking mad how I managed to convince myself they were my real friends. They used to literally abuse me, they'd throw me into the pond, throw me off of balconies, piss in my backpack, whip me across the face with steel rulers, cut my hair / clothes, chokehold me until i passed out, dead-leg me (literally every day), force me to buy them food, force me to eat nasty sandwiches (with spit, pebbles, hair, fingernails, anything)

Been terribly bullied and was the most hated kid in elementary school.
As a result of being bullied in elementary school I was mentally scarred and had a difficulty in making friends in middle school and I was also bullied in middle school.
In highschool I wasn't bullied, just ignored by everyone.

Man, they used abuse to mentally condition you like an animal. As long as you endured abuse, you were allowed to be with them. If you told them to stop, you'd be left behind. The reason they managed that feet of control is like you said, you convinced yourself that they were indeed your friends.

Wasn't really bullied just called a bunch of names by this Manlet hockey player. Now that I look back on it I laugh
me but i started drinking in that age and then doing drugs so the people started thinking i was cool but i really was trying to drink myself to death
