I can almost guarantee you, no one likes a quiet type. Even if they say they do, they don't. People often conflate you being quiet to you being awkward.
Ever had someone sit down next to you and you just don't want to talk, you're a quiet person. A lot of times that person, after they leave, will think of you as awkward, not quiet.
And people hate being awkward, they would rather be having fun.
Don't get me wrong, I think quiet is a fine trait, but it's next to impossible to exude positively.
