I miss staying up all night on AIM and random internet chatrooms, scouring p2ps for dank porn, discovering gore for the first time, editing my MySpace and xanga.

The current state of the internet is shit and fosters nothing but privacy invasion and narcissism.

31 here. I actually look forward to the downfall of society.

It's only a matter of time before normies and liberals run everything into the ground.

At least 4chan is a viable escape from the rounded-edge, banal faggotry that's plastered across sites like iFunny and Twitter these days.

Oh wait..

It's hard for me remember I lived in that world for many years. Longer than most people on this board.

That was a different world, and not only in the way people think about with memes and all this robot stuff like Chad and normies.

One of the significant things that comes to mind is in the time before social networks you could have a higher sense of accomplishment about the things you were good at.

If you play video games with your friends today you can have a lot of fun getting better together and discovering new things. And you can have a sense of being good at something.

Now, you go on the internet and get your ass kicked by an anonymous person over and over and over. No matter how good you are among your friends you all still feel like you suck.

This goes for all kinds of things like playing sports or musical instruments.

I don't know how kids today have any motivation to start something when they're faced with such ideas.

For a brief period, socially awkward white males actually had social cache because the nerdy white male tech boom.

Now, the cunts and nu-males are hellbent on reversing all that positive perception and characterizing white nerds' hard work as "exclusion", when a computer is the most fucking gender/color-blind device ever invented.

Really makes my blood boil that the actual heroes of computing go unrecognized when fraudulent cokewhores like Ada Lovelace are known by 99% of plebbitors.

I seriously cannot figure twatter out for the life of me. I can understand individual "tweets" more or less but the rest is a complete fucking blur.
