It happens all the time, girls love the attention they get, and especially when they know they hold the power in the situation. It is enjoyable up to the moment where the friend confesses his feelings for her and then she thinks about what that would entail, what her friends would think about it, if she could do better, etc. But then all the girl has to say if she's not interested is just "we were just friends lol what are you talking about"
