saw a book about depression on the counter, I imagine my dad has been reading it because he thinks I'm depressed.
saw mormon book on my dad's room, idk what to think
>be teenage loner a decade ago
>tfw mom is reading "the road less traveled"
My mom emails me those terrible Lifestyle articles that are shit like "7 tips for dealing with social anxiety" and "nine ways to become a happy person" and I have to pretend to be grateful. They're always really stupid, too, catered to stupid normie faggots whose problems can be fixed by reading a few words and getting an epiphany. Man, after twenty years of having no friends, hating myself, and being scared to go outside, I never considered "keeping a rational outlook on things." All my troubles are over! Thanks, mom!
I get that she's trying to help, but it just comes off as insulting and condescending. I'd much rather she did nothing.

Or maybe he's fucking depressed himself?
Rampant. Narcissism.

>worried that dad is worried about my depression
>turns out he's just depressed to have me as a son
>feel relieved

How is that narcissistic, you stupid fuck? If OP is a narcissist for assuming his dad reading a book about a disorder he has pertains to him, then literally everyone on the planet is a narcissist.

If I gave in and explained why he's narcissistic for assuming his dad can't be depressed (I've given it away already) then you can say "haha see you're retarded you feel for my b8"
so nevermind. The only winning move here is not to play.

whatever you say autismo
We have always had a book called "Raising a child with autism & asperger" on the shelves. Never asked about it but it gives me some clues about my social anxiety.

my parents bought a weird religious book about depression. Made me really upset, if you've seen Moonrise Kingdom I felt just like the girl ;_;
