How do you guys feel about people butthurt from AdBlock?
Personally I use it for everything except a few porn site to work correctly.
like NEETtubers? haha fuck them. get a real job, freeloading assholes.
but for people who genuinely put time and effort and most importantly, WORK into their products (like the guy who made adblock?) yeah i'll toss them some change every so often.
If all the paid "content creators" disappeared from the net, we would be no worse off. You could even say things would be better since it'd just be the guys doing shit for its own sake again not being drowned out by e-celeb shitters anymore like before Youtube got huge. For the more normal places on the net the ad rate is fucking ridiculous, I'm appalled when I have to use someone elses computer and see an ad between every damned paragraph. I know some shills like to say "Well if adblock didn't exist they wouldn't need to do that," but if adblock was magically totally nullified tomorrow and the amount of ads actually correspondingly decreased as a result, I would eat my keyboard.
I support using Adblock for huge sites and buggy porn sites. But if you're using it on indie creators or YouTubers, you're kind of a dick.
Maybe I'm just sensitive because I personally know many folks that get their revenue from ad sales on YouTube videos or their sites and they aren't rolling in cash or anything. Most are barely middle class.
I prefer this system of ads more then what it used to be, AKA a the only way to get content was if it was backed by a huge studio and investors. That being said, services like Patreon coils shake things up.
Tldr If you enjoy the creator of the content you are consuming and want them to create more of it, turn off Adblock

I keep it on 24/7. Ads are a synthetic enterprise, they only exist because people allow them too. If everyone world wide were to suddenly start ignoring them by using adblockers, the ads would fuck right off like an attention deprived whore.

Every time I search for something all that comes up is top 10 lists and other fucking garbage created just to get ad revenue. Its ruining the internet
There is too much crap out there now. Only to make money off of ads. The content has become shallow and/or has secondary importance. If ads weren't there people would be making websites just for the sake of the content. I'd actually gladly pay a 50 cent a month for certain websites. Just think about it if you have 200,000 visitors a month. That's 100,000$ you make a month.
