>worked at walmart
>applied online
>hired immediately
>1.5 years later
>quit
>need new job
>museum right across the street from my house
>walk in
>ask if they're hiring
>say they'll let me know when they are
>week later
>they're hiring
>first and only one to apply
>hired
It's a pretty comfy job, especially being right across the street. Only issue is low hours, and I have to wear slacks and fancy shoes and all that stuff, which sucks when I'm walking around a big museum for ten hours, but it's not too bad.
I have a lot of free time now, and even with working two or three days a week, it pays my bills. Just with little left for spending money. So currently I'm looking for something supplementary, so I can buy food and drugs and vidya.

But every job I've had has gone like this
>walk in
>ask for manager
>talk to manager
>try not to sperg out
>"gibe job pls"
>it's either yes or no
>usually "Apply online"
So find a place where people are employed, ask them if they need more employees, and don't go full sperg. Unless it's Walmart or Burger King or some shit, they'll hire pretty much anyone breathing.

thank you anons, it means a lot for me, im fighting agains my sperg chains to just do this

No problem, anon.
I know what it feels like. Don't let it get you down, because all you have to do to find a job is to look for one.
There are places of employment literally everywhere. Go into any building and ask if they're hiring.
>>

Applied online. 7 years and I'm still at my first job though changed 2 or 3 departments already. If you have any skills or whatever use linkedin.
>>
>walk around town
>look for "help needed" signs on windows
>find one
>enter
>take if off
>ask to see the manager
>firmly shake his hand and ask when you can start
>work there till retirenment
seriously, you kids are so lazy
>>
>had an online application outstanding since Jan. 2012
>regularly updated it as time passed
>fastforward to Oct. 2013
>finally get a phone call for interview
>passed interview 1 and moved onto interview 2/group interview
>passed those and the trial weeks to follow and now been with them for just over 2 years.

i was so incredibly lucky they ended up hiring me when i was 19 considering i cost more than some scrub younger than me.
>>
My mom applied for me in some jobs. A company emailed me to schedule and interview. I asked my mom why she have done that and I got really angry. Then she took me to the interview and I got the job. A year later I moved out and now I'm living one my own.
>>
>>25456743
Apply at a grocery store. They have high turn over so they're always hiring
>>
>>25458751
this
Walmart has like a 75% turnover.
Though, understand that this shows how much it sucks working there. Enough that 3/4 of people quit within the first year.

I bought some steel toe capped boots a hard hat and a high-vis, I walked on to all the construction jobs in my town and by the end of the day I was a labourer on 60 GBP a day. I stuck with it and got friendly with some dryliners, I asked if they would take me on as a learner I took a pay cut to do it but now I am on about 120 GBP a day.

You deserve your misery. This 'wagecuck' earns 25 dollars an hour under the table and laughs all the way to the dealers house to support my very expensive and varied drug habit.

Enjoy choosing between a new game and eating for a week faglord.

I did voluntary work so that I could get a reference and some 'experience' to put on my resume.

I got my first proper job doing office admin work at a small real estate agent mostly because I mentioned on my resume that I could make websites (basic HTML CSS). Their website was garbage so I remade it while I worked for them.

I lost that job a few years ago and have been neet again for a while, now filling in the gaps in my knowledge I'm applying for junior web development jobs which have decent pay and will hopefully be enjoyable for me.

So:
>voluntary work
>shitty low-paying job
>learn something useful
>decent high-paying job

Also develop your social skills. Learn from books if necessary. Most of an interview is about whether or not they like you, not whether you're qualified.

Someone I knew who already worked there got the job for me, applying on your own is nowhere near as effective
>sisters fiance is manager of large warehouse for big delivery company
>tells me there's an evening position that I can get if I want
>think sure why not and go for it
>he interviews me a.k.a, he just tells me the ins and outs
>i'm put in his group who are really chilled lads
>getting paid 15 bucks an hour just to make sure boxes of stuff are in order where the day timers are the ones doing the harder work
>most the time i'm just wandering about on my phone
>staff areas got a surprisingly decent kitchen/lounge area for breaks
Its not too bad for a first job
TL;DR, get someone whos already inside to open that locked door for you, they can give you the good word

I used my time as NEET to improve my body, presentation and gain unparalleled insight into the human psyche. The interview was a mere formality, as my obvious alpha status made me the best choice for my cushy, well paid job.
>>
>>25459135
Correct, its funny because I never pictured myself working for a large business because I always assume it'd be awful, but this jobs given me a fresh perspective. Maybe its because its not an office job like i've dreaded.
>>25456850
What do you do in the museum? Security guard?
>>
>>25459224
It's pretty ridiculous, honestly.
Sometimes I literally have nothing to do, and can just sit around on my phone, or walk around the museum.
I also have pretty serious job security. As long as I don't royally fuck up, they won't fire me. They consider me an "asset". When they hire someone, they hire them with the expectation that they won't have to fire you. The schedule is flexible, and they work around your education, too. We have one high school student and a couple university students working there, to my understanding. Most everyone else is either a volunteer, maintenance, in the office, or has worked with the museum or museums for several years. Upwards of 30 years, in some cases.
>>
ive looked for job for three years and the only time i've ever been hired is when a place had just opened up and a week or two before they opened they asked for workers.

>tfw current job is comfy as fuck
>boss usually just leaves me alone
>barely any customers come in
>can read manga and watch anime during my shifts
>tfw business not making any money thought
>probably gonna shut down in a couple of months
>will have to find a real job

>>getting paid 15 bucks an hour just to make sure boxes of stuff are in order where the day timers are the ones doing the harder work

I live in a third world shithole and if you get 2.50 dollars an hour you are already on the top 1/3

>tfw your parents gain a lot of money and you feel embarassed to work on a shitty paying job
>tfw not even a degree

check your privilege
>>
>>25459279
Well, my main position is dealing with events. The events are usually Christmas parties, reunions, weddings, anything someone would need to rent out a space for 90-400 people for an evening.
So I basically just set up tables, vacuum, answer questions and help people out, give information about things in the museum, make sure everyone's having a good time, etc.
It's piss easy, and pretty straightforward. Though, there is a lot of walking around, and I do have to wipe down a bathroom counter every once in a while, but that's really nothing that bothers me.
>>
is it too much to ask for a job relevant to what I spent 4 years in school for?
Teachers and family told me to not worry about getting a job while in school, and that it will come after. They sure got me, I got trolled.

>walk around town
>see the "uncle sam needs you" poster of my country
>go into the recruitment office inform myself
>options: grunt for 1 year, grunt for 3 years, Sergeant grunt for 7 years with the learning of a trade, officers for 15-17 years with study
>apply for officers 17 years, study subject medicine.
>work out, refresh maths and other sciences.
>go to assessment in another town
>sports, science test, language test and two interview (other officers and a doctor)
>didn't mess up the interviews
>got the position, contracts signed and all

Looking foward to it right now I'm just chillin till the basic starts afterwards I go straight to a med school. Pretty nice

>Apply to several warehouse jobs online
>get one to assist in end of year period due to higher christmas

>in the meantime try to find a decent job somewhere else.
>buddy of mine knows this and after working there 2 months says i should try to apply at his firm
>get job because someone was fired and they really needed a fast replacement
>had no idea what to do first couple of weeks
>still work there almost 2 years now

Do you have a college degree, but its not relevant to IT, and want to get an IT job?

You can do it if I could do it. Spice up your resume to highlight your computer knowledge under a list of "skills". Make it sound like you're the guy all your friends go to to fix computer shit. Maybe get an A+ certification (easy as fuck to get one), but I got an entry leve IT job without one.

Apply to every help desk or tech support job in your area on indeed.com and wherever else you see them. I made $12/hr for the first few months, and starting this month I got a raise for $15, with a salaried position being the next step up. Everyone I work with is cool as fuck and plays vidya too. JUST DO IT!
>>
>>25459992
17 years? That's a long time. How old are you now?

And don't you need certain prerequisite courses in college to get into med school? Do you already have a degree?

>cop-for-hire (better known as security guard)
>guy explains company and job tasks
>fill out application
>we have interview then and there
>says he's impressed, especially since he saw me running earlier
>tells me he needs someone immediately, hopefully starting tomorrow night

It's an easy as fuck job.

craigslist. apply to 3-6 jobs a day (easy to do on CL, just send them an email with a brief CV and your resume pasted in), you'll be guaranteed to get at least one interview a week
