It is very hard to snap out of it tough, the only validation you receive is from people that want to keep you that way. People who are willing to give you good advise usually dumb it down because they think you are an idiot (and rightfully so).

He proceeded to pry and got the answer "it depends on the guy." This, was then followed by "but don't workout for others." (probably the only valuable advice she gave.)
3) "Cut down on red meats and eggs." (also a direct quote.) - The fattest and most misshapen of the betas asked if he should up his protein intake. Said beta was then told that too much protein is bad for the heart and can lead to unwanted weight gain.
