Women do the same thing. It's just common nature. No matter how badly people pretend we don't, humans divide themselves into groups they can feel a common part of. Humanity is way too big, vague, and generic for people so we divide into smaller groups that others aren't part of. Then whenever we see someone from another group do something, it proves our group is better
