Is it possible to give up on trying to win the lottery and still live a healthy and happy life even if I was not born into the wealthy leisure class? Those of you who actually support yourself working, how do you cope with knowing that you'll have to spend the rest of your life limited to the money that comes from your paychecks, and the free time you get away from work?

It feels literally impossible for me to get a job even if I wanted one, but working a low stress part time job feels preferable to being a careercuck, where I have demanding tasks to fulfill, or am forced to stay in my cubicle shitposting on 4chan to complete the rest of the 40 hours not spent getting work done. My psychologist recently suggested I actually try applying for autismbux, because he pointed out that my abnormal behaviours and sensitivities cause a lot more disruption than I realize, and may actually qualify as disability. I will go to an agency to help me with this, but I imagine even if I do get autismbux I will appreciate being able to survive and not be as much a burden on my mother having to provide for me, but still long to win the lottery in order to enjoy a high quality luxurious existence.

I bought 10 powerball tickets, but seeing that the odds of winning the jackpot are like 1/292 million, 5 match prize is 1/11.6 million, figure I can start trying to cope with accepting the possibility that another year went by without winning the lottery, and that it statistically will never happen, and what to do about it, to deal with it mentally, and in terms of survival/comfort money wise.

saving your money makes sense if you had a source of income, or have already won the lottery. But I'm seeing gambling as the only way out of running into poverty, and getting on the fast track to financial liberation to amassed wealth.

I often ask people if there is a more reliable way out, but none presented to me yet have been appealing, because they all either take a lifetime to achieve, require intense competition and more work than a job, require risking thousands of dollars at once, or depend on nepotism - cronyism, of which I have none.

you're shit out of luck my friend, lottery probably is your best bet. maybe just learn to gamble and hit up the casino

I don't live anywhere near casinos or have a car, but theres lots of liquor stores, 7-11s, gas stations and supermarkets I can just walk to and spend $1-$20 on lottery tickets whenever I want.

But just to explore the possibilities, what are some more reliable forms of gambling that don't require risking thousands of dollars up front, but still have the potential to get me a few million within a few years?

>buy shares of the s&p 500
>figure you get 4-10% return annually and you only pay capital gains tax on it
>on average you will do better than if you played the lottery

idk if you are aware but there is >>>/biz/

I think we have it a LOT differently than previous generations in that we can be poor as fuck but still live a comfy life.

well that depends how you define comfy. Both time and money are components of a comfy life, and the first world man has to often sacrifice one for the other. Hence my dream vision of winning the lottery is not in vain, but to be able to enjoy virtually unlimited financial abundance, within the limited time that is my human existence.
