But there is no good alternative and in the end
your browser and probably your OS (you using windows or ubuntu?) collects your data too. you use failbook? your cucked. Damn, probably the new 4chan owner Ishiro Shimomura is collecting your data too.
Are you using a wireless router? maybe someone's been intercepting your traffic. Have you checked the logs? changed the passwd for root? It might be a default passwd. The router at my rental house had the default root pass and I logged in and checked the logs: IPs from Bulgaria and the balcans logged in as root.

Ok, so all of that is true, but at least all that collection is spread out across services and companies. With Google, it is all sucked into one, getting it all, especially the browsing history which is pretty damn terrifying.
I mean, even in Incognito I just know there is some sandal wearing hipster at Google laughing as he watches the weird searches come in.
