Yes about 3000 dollars after I pay my rent on the first. I live alone too and am 19.
>>Do you enjoy your work?
Kind of, I get praised for my hard work and cart pushing is just a very small part of the job.

Joining the air force soon to escape the mexican drug hole land of tweakers called Arizona. I hope to get deployed to Japan and never come back to this piece of shit state.

>What do you do?
I work a retail job. I'm slightly above the average person but still not a legit supervisor/assistant manager. I technically am in charge of a small section.
>How much do you make a day?
60-100
>Do you have money saved up
About $200. It went into buying a new car that's half paid off.
>Do you enjoy your work?
I loved it at first. Over time they gave me odd hours and I couldn't do my job properly (Signs and reports). We received two new managers basically the most important people there. Well one doesn't think I do a great job (I sometimes get praised) and the other thinks the same and she probably hates me. At the point where there was an assistant manager position and I was pushed to the side for someone else who doesn't do shit and is both stupider and slower tha me. I was looking at that position for some time too that's why I still work there.

This right here.

>Saved money
I have $1,700 in the bank. But my student loans make me think I won't be able to save much longer.

>Enjoy it?
No. It would be alright, but everything is monitored. My stats aren't too good, like my call time. Also, you need to get surveys from people with above a 9.5 average in the fields. And when asked if they'd promote the mobile provider, if they give less than a 7 it's rated as a -10.

Stuck on the phone all day, same pointless task, same problems, same horrible stats.

If you ever take surveys, do us a favor and just give all 10s. We could be fired over time if we don't do well enough. I hate getting fired.

~38k (made about 2400/mo and only spent about 800-900 on rent and very basic, cheap food, it built up pretty quick)
>>Did you enjoy your work?
I enjoyed the work when I was on my own, but hated the management and the stress of deadlines and dealing with other people.

>NEETS:
>Do you get autism bucks?
No, though I probably could if I went to a doctor about anxiety and suicide/depression shit. I just don't think society should ever have to pay to keep me living. If I go broke and become homeless I'll just kill myself so I don't take up any more resources from others that deserve it more.
>Do you enjoy being a NEET?
Sometimes, if I'm playing video games I can be happy while I'm zoned out. Sometimes I just can't enjoy anything though and just shut down for hours at a time, usually just going over in my head how fucking worthless I am and thinking of ways I can kill myself, how I can get my family to stop caring about me so I won't hurt their feelings when I do die. Kind of just want to take all my savings and blow it all to disappear somewhere so no one knows what happened. Other option is to just accept living as my torture for being worthless, and eventually find some dead end shit job again that will let me continue suffering a few more years so my parents believe I'm happy until they pass away happily and I can finally move on.

It would be difficult for me to overstate how much I love the NEET Life. In fact, I nearly flunked out of highschool because I would end up skipping classes/weeks/months of school at a time. My senior year, I skipped a whole month of school.

I can't stand social interaction. My dream is to live in a remote, but scenic area where I can be comfy. Away from Normalfags, women, and society. Living would not be worth if I were forced to work. I have to slowly come to the realization I will be working and thus uncomfortable for the rest of my life

Absolutely, I live by myself and have the freedom to to anything I want, as long as it's not too expensive. Nothing that money can buy is worth having to waste half of my waking hours working for, anyway.
>>
>>25282149
No, I didn't major in anything related to computers. I work in Silicon Valley, though, and I know my wage is low for my position, but it's because I'm working my way up the ladder.

I am thinking of relocating to the midwest as well, and am thinking of Des Moines/Omaha/Cedar Rapids for relocation, mainly because they're still relatively large cities with something of a tech industry there.

That's my only suggestion.
>>
>>25282222
that's definitely interesting that companies are willing to accept candidates without an IT background for a sys engineer position. it indicates that there's a shortage of qualified workers. do you work with linux or windoze, both? my decision for relocating is tax avoidance purposes. basically $75k a year will go a long way in places like that, even though around these parts it's just modest income.

I work with both, actually. They wanted me mainly because I'm equally versed in both systems, with scripting ability in both on a fairly equal scale. I'll most likely be moving into an infrastructure sort of position as time goes on, but for right now, I'm able to put away quite a bit for retirement, pay off my car, AND have a pretty cool apartment, while still being able to buy anime boobie statues every so often.

And yes, $75k annually will go VERY far. Houses there can be under $50k. My actual plan is to buy a piece of land near Des Moines, and hold onto it until I want to build my home and settle down, you know, if I ever decide to. Land can't be squatted, and at the very least it'll retain value if I buy it at a low point in the market.

>>25282348
Yeah, that's why I've been thinking about it :3
>>
>>25282382
yeah, infrastructure is the way to go. traditional sys admin roles are hard to come by nowadays. i'm actually devops, and gaining experience with cloud service automation. that's where all the money is flowing to right now.
>>
>>25282499
Yeah, but I don't care about money man. If I did, I would have taken that other job and made bank. I'd much rather work for projects I enjoy, in environments that I enjoy them in, and luckily I don't have any responsibilities and a pretty good amount of talent, so I can do that if I want to.

Got my start through university graduate program. Each department has one, most get about a 40-110 application to accepted ratio. But keep in mind there were about 15 departments I applied to. Took me 3 tries, during, after and a year after uni to get in.
Trick is to be DOING something you can talk about in interviews and have on a resume. After uni I was working a shit retail job, but I volunteered and got involved in a society related to my interests. It allowed me to get a reference, and have stuff to say I did. Did a few other things, but you get the idea.

You can get in other ways, applying for jobs that appear directly, or try for temp contracts (are often extended, but even if not its exp you can use later).

The first job is always the hardest to get.

I work in a nursing home/rehab facility, so none of the 'patients' I see are truly 1:1. Although the high census there is always a handful that cause trouble. I'm looking right now for a part-time job in one of the hospitals in my local area. My plan is to keep going to school for NP.

Wagie here.
Dollary-doo value is almost irrelevant when you consider other factors.
1. Attaining a home loan is far beyond my means.
2. Attaining an automobile that is reliable enough to drive every day would leave me with very little money for other expenses.
3. Job uncertainty is also a serious contributing factor to my ability to save and plan for the future.

Previous customer service experience will most likely be necessary (I got my first job through connections), but look into transport/logics for admin or customer service type jobs. There's a lot of them and they've worked out well for me.

yes, except for the back pain and inevitable weight gain from sitting all day. i like to listen to music and drive, it's relaxing.

>How much do you make a day?
I get paid a salary, but it averages out to $270 a day.

Yes, about $10,000. I would have more, but I recently bought a new car to replace my old one that seemed to be developing a new problem every other month.

>Do you enjoy your work?
I enjoy some of it. I've only been at my job for half a year so I'm still kind of getting used to it. But I'm definitely enjoying it better than I had when I started. It's also nice to be making a decent wage for once in my life; formerly, I was a grad student, and I am kind of surprised I managed to stretch my meager teaching stipend to be able to survive. Now, I'm renting a nice house and I can provide for myself and my girlfriend as she pursues creative endeavors.

I'm a musician. I don't play any gigs for the time being. I work as a music teacher and choir conductor. I compose music on my spare time, hoping to earn some money on composing eventually.
>How much do you earn?
Enough to get by. Teaching pays fair. Conducting pays well.
>Do you have money saved up
20 000 euro. But I also have the same amount in student loans for my music teacher degree (a degree is obligatory if you want to teach in public schools.)
>Do you enjoy your work
Sometimes. My work is primarily about inspiring other people - children and adults alike. When they are inspired, my job is amazing and I'm very grateful for being able to do what I do for a living. When they are not; when you are giving and giving and they throw everything out the window, it is exhausting to say the least. Teachers get a lot of flame on this board. You wouldn't last a day in a teacher's shoes.

Yes. Saving money for when I need to make emergency repairs on my car. Then I'll save up so I can move to a better area. After that, anything else will be spent on my hobbies. Cars, guns, vidya, etc.
>Do you enjoy your work?
I was a NEET for six years and I fucking hated every moment of my life. Didn't get NEETbux or autismbux. Now that I have money and a reason to go outside, I've had many experiences and it's fucking awesome. My manager and all my coworkers witnessed me smoking my first blunt. Getting high was an 8/10 experience. They're all very friendly and laid back, it's awesome. Even the customers are chill. I get paid to do what I love doing - driving. Being comfy in my car listening to music for hours.

How the fuck do you guys save money?
I live at home paying $200 a month to my parents in rent earning about $1100 a month and I never save anything, I have about $400 after 13 months of work which averages out to around $80 saved a month. I'm not great with money so would appreciate tips

Pic related is my current monthly budget. I have included a breakdown of my food costs as I know many people save money there.

Your media and food is quite high - Can't you find cheaper alternatives (cheap supermarkets, piracy etc)?

Aim for 10% savings rate initially and work your way up. Paying $200 for rent should really be looked at as an opportunity to go light on spending and save as much as you can (at least $400 imo)
