ITT: we share stories of loved ones we know who have committed suicide, I'll share mine about an old friend
>Tom was 17
>Bullied everyday for no reason apart from the fact he was an easy target
>Had a terrible home life
>Dad beat him, Mom left when he was young
>Always happy at school, loved music especially punk
>We would play guitar after school
>Always went to my house because he didn't want to go home
>Sometimes even slept at mine when he said things got 'too rough'
>Even gave him my old guitar when I got a new one, which his Dad ended up breaking
>Wanted to report his asshole Dad but if we did Tom would have no guardian and be sent to a home (which are way worse where we live)
>Anyways, Tom comes to school one day
>Not usual happy self, something seems off
>'Don't worry Anon, didn't get much sleep last night because of drunk Dad'
>Knew something was up
>'Wanna sleep around mine tonight? My Mom loves to have you'
>He refused, said if he stayed round ours again his Dad would kill him
>Kept checking up on him as school went by
>Saw a bunch of people picking on him, beating him up
>Went to help but got my ass kicked
>He got hurt really bad
>Got sent home early
>Kept texting him because I started to worry about his Dad
>Says he's fine, Dad's asleep
>Fast forward to about 8:14pm
>Final text he ever sent
>'I'm not taking this anymore. You were my only friend Anon, I love you'
>I rushed to his house, he lives a 30 minute walk from mine
>Took about 10 because I was sprinting
>Banging on the door
>Dad is passed out on the couch
>I can see broken shit everywhere
>See open window at side of house
>Crawl in into kitchen
>Never saw his house before, it was so derelict and smelt of stale beer
>Covered my nose
>Sprinted upstairs, checked a few rooms
>His room was empty
>His room btw was so small you could fit a bed and a wooden chair in it
>Knew it was his because his bag was on his bed along with the Algebra textbook we had been working on
>Panicking, start breaking doors
